Xander's POV
I woke up to find out that it's finally Saturday. No stupid teachers,no work and definitely no Mr Phillip ranting on and on. After taking a quick bath I head for my morning jog with my pet dog Shawn. My mind often drifts to different places when I'm jogging but today it's fixed on a particular brunette. Adela. Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. I always wondered why I never spoke to her .
Who am I kidding I never even noticed her till she fainted in class last week. I wonder where she lives or why she's equally coming from home to college everyday. Adela is mysterious I have to say. I guess that's why I'm drawn to her. I guess I inherited my moms passion for solving cases. But something tells me that this case wasn't going to be solved as easy as I expected it to be .
Already tired from the run, I stopped at a cafe on the street. It was a blue small cafe known for their coffee and pastries.
As I walked into the cafe with Shawn I found a good spot and I sat there waiting for my turn to other
Santiago, your order is read!!! The waiter behind the counter said .
I looked up to see a lady in her fifties hand the waiter a ten dollar bill. She looked familiar. I just couldn't place where I had seen her before. She was light skinned and she had brunette hair just like... Wait brunette... I looked up at her and immediately saw the striking resemblance. That was Adela's mom. I wonder if Adela was here with her. I looked around for Adela but I couldn't see her anywhere. The lady thanked the barista and left the cafe. I kept watching her till she left and something else told me that there was another reason I knew that lady. I just couldn't remember what it was. Maybe from the TV, I don't think she looks like a journalist or reporter tho.She looked a little bit ... Whats the word.. On edge to be a reporter. Maybe I've seen her here before I don't know but she looks awfully familiar.
Hello sir can I get your order. The barista said to me. Deciding to think about the lady later I got my coffee and left the cafe with Shawn.
As I unlocked the front door of my house I heard a large squeal . Bracing myself for the six year old and her annoying voice I opened the door to see my little sister Ayah. Ayah was born at an old age so it was a tough pregnancy for my mom. Mom was scared that ayah would come out with a disability or a syndrome but luckily she was safe from any other those. She was seen as special and she was spoilt by mom. I mean the girl that more than she'd ever need.
Alexander where have you been.. Ayah said. Now that's one thing I never really understood about this little girl, why she always called me by my complete name and acted like mom I really didn't know.
I went jogging mom. I answered her playfully.
Would you play doll with me. She said with a pout.
I'm sorry ayah. I'm really tired and I need to shower. Later okay?
Love you!! I yelled while going upstairs.
I got into my room and had a long relaxing shower.
Checking my calendar and finding out that I had nothing to do for the day,I decided to sleep in. Changing into a loose tee and a pair of boxers I flopped down on my bed .
As I closed my eyes to sleep. One thought popped into my head before I drifted off to sleep
Who is Santiago?
