It's been a few hours, it was around 6:30 am now. My father and Billy got up at 7:00 so I had to get going soon. I looked down at El who was still shivering in my arms, she wasn't sleeping anymore, she was too cold and still in a lot of pain, the longest she slept was probably for about 30-45 minutes but no more. I didn't want to leave her but if we got caught it wouldn't end well. "El..." I said softly, she looked up at me, her eyes where sunken in and heavy and her nose was stuffed, I didn't want to face her like this but I had to. "I have to go..." She whimpered and grabbed onto my shirt burying her face in my chest.
"I'm sorry."
"No..." I took her out of my lap and gently placed her on the concrete floor. "No." She tightened her grip.
"I know, I don't want to go either, but I have to." She groaned and tried to pull me closer but she didn't have the strength. "Hey." I cupped her cheeks and had her look up at me. "This isn't going to happen anymore okay? It's gonna end soon...I promise." She whimpered more and tried to put her head on my chest. I bit the inside of my lip and slowly started to pry her hands off me.
"No...no. No. No."
"Hey, hey, hey." I got her hands off and held them giving them a light squeeze. "I'm gonna come back. I'm gonna come back."
"No, no, no, no, NO. NO. NO."
I started panic, I didn't want her to start screaming. Without thinking about it I placed my lips on hers, she stopped and took a moment before she leaned into the kiss, I did too and held her hands against my chest. I realized now, that I loved her, I loved her a lot. I just kept denying it because I didn't want to bring love into the situation, but I couldn't control it anymore, and this, this felt amazing, it felt like it warm my heart up. I pulled away and looked at her, she stared at me, surprise was seen in her eyes. I slowly took my hands from hers and stood up, she sat back and scooted against the wall. I looked at her one last time then turned and left up the stairs not hearing one peep from her.
I closed the basement door behind me and slowly made my way to the kitchen, I got a glimpse out the window and saw the sun was staring to make its way up. I knew I best be getting to my room before anyone got up.

It's the last day. I still don't have a plan. Nothing. If I don't get her to talk then my father will be taking her life tomorrow. I can't let it happen, and I know why now, because I'm in love with her, I've been in love with her this whole time. I always told myself to never let this happen, but it did, and now I'm going to do what I can to bring my fathers ways to an end, with everything I've seen happen to El broke me severely, and to imagine what the people who had once known all the other victims would feel to know what their beloved ones had gone through could break them too, which is why I need to stop this. But how? Time is running out. The window is closing. Only so many hours left. And only so much time for me to come up with some kind of plan and proceed with it before 7 am tomorrow, it's up to me to stop this, to end this. This needs to stop. This needs to end.
I closed my journal and sat back, I haven't slept once last night or this morning, yet I wasn't tired, I wasn't anywhere near it, I was too focused. I started to think over things, I have some good opportunities but I just need to know how to use them correctly, one wrong step and game over, there's also a few resources that I need in order to hide evidence but I have to do it without being seen or suspicious.
"Staring at walls are we?" I looked over and saw Billy standing at the door. "Damn, you've been doing that all night? You look hideous." I rolled my eyes and turned back around. "What? Don't have anything to say this morning?"
"No."
"Well that's no fun...ohhh, you're just mad I got to do her before you?"
"Why are you in here?"
