You are y/n, you have just graduated high school, you're 18 and in this story Five is also already 18 and you have been hired to help the mother at the umbrella Academy with cleaning, cooking and first aid
In the umbrella Academy's home everyone has sat down for breakfast
Dad "I have a surprise for all of you"
Allison "what is it father?"
You walk in
Y/n "hello everyone"
Dad "this is y/n, she has just graduated high school and needed a job, I've hired her to help your mother with cooking, cleaning, first aid and anything else"
Everyone except five "hello y/n"
Dad "she will be living here full-time and I will be paying her for full days of work and she will have a free day on Saturdays, she will have her own room and she is human, she has no powers"
Luther "you have no powers?"
Y/n "no, what are your alls?"
Luther "Superstrength"
Diego "trajectory manipulation"
Ben "tentacles"
Vanya "sound manipulation"
Allison "persuasion through rumors"
Klaus "I have a connection to the dead, I can speak too and get help from the dead"
You look at five and he doesn't say anything
Allison "don't mind him, that's five don't take the silence personally he's just been through a lot, unhuman trauma I guess is what you could call it, he has time manipulation and can travel through time"
Y/n "nice to meet you all"
Dad "you may take today to get settled get anything moved into your room and you'll start tomorrow also don't hesitate to ask if you need help moving anything Luther especially would be a big help with his strength if you have anything heavy"
Y/n "thank you, Luther do you mind helping?"
Luther "I don't mind at all"
You and Luther get your stuff from the car and move it into your room
Y/n "this is a beautiful room"
Luther "so is there anyone in your life?"
Y/n "my parents and grandparents"
Luther "really, what are they like?"
Y/n "to be honest I have been hurt by them and they have made quite some mistakes but they are still my parents and grandparents and they have always given me a good home and a pretty good life, I've just been through a lot, quite a bit of trauma and scars"
Luther "I'm so sorry"
Y/n "thanks, sorry I didn't mean to throw all of that on you"
Luther "no do not be sorry at all I was the one who asked and even if I didn't I understand the need to talk about it"
Without realizing it five was standing outside the door the whole time
Five *to himself* "she's so beautiful, natural, kind, and understanding"
Y/n "i'm going to go look around"
Luther "ok, i'll ask Allison to show you around, I think you two will get along really well"
Y/n "thanks"
Allison comes in
Allison "I heard my name is something wrong?"
Luther "no, I was just thinking maybe you could show her around"
Allison "yeah, of course"
You and Allison walk around the home and she shows you everything, you too also talk and have quite a few laughs together, you both have the feeling you are going to get along really well as good friends
Y/n *laughing* "wait they did what?"
Allison *laughing* "I'm not kidding"
Y/n "but why would Ben start spanking Diego with his tentacles" *still laughing"
Allison "Diego tried to kill five" *laughs*
Diego "that's because he called me an ass"
You and Allison both jump not knowing that he was there, but then you both started laughing really hard again
Y/n "then I'll make sure to never call you an ass so I don't get a knife to my throat" *laughs*
Diego *sarcastic* "ha ha ha"
He walks away leaving you and Allison, Vanya walks in
Vanya "hey you two, I was going to make some hot chocolate do you want some?"
Y/n "that sounds good I can make it for you all"
Vanya "you don't need to do that"
Y/n "I insist"
Vanya "thank you"
Your smile and go into the kitchen, you make hot chocolate for the three of you with whipped cream and hot fudge syrup on the top, you take it in and you all decide to watch a movie, you and Vania don't like scary movies and Allison doesn't like mystery movies so you all decided on a romcom, they don't get to watch movies often or see a lot of modern things often because of training but every so often they watch a movie/listen to music or they get to go out shopping or to a restaurant
Y/n *you put on the movie since they don't know movies very well* "I hope you all like this movie" *you chose 50 First Dates*
Allison "I bet we will, quickly before we start it I'll make some popcorn so we can have our hot chocolate and some snacks"
Allison makes some popcorn and grabs a couple different kinds of chips and you all settle down with fuzzy blankets chips and popcorn and your hot chocolate
You and Vanya *laughing*
Allison "at least he's crying like a little baby instead of acting like an ass" (reference to the movie) *laughs*
The boys decide to join you, Luther and Allison snuggle on a loveseat together, your head is on Klaus's shoulder (in a friendly way) and Vania is at your other side, Ben, Diego and five have their own chairs
You, the girls and Klaus are laughing and smiling at the romance, the other boys are confused and five hasn't taken his eyes off you
Y/n "The chips are out I'll go get some more"
You walk into the kitchen and refill the chip bowls, five follows you in and makes some coffee
Five *awkwardly* "do you want some?"
Y/n "no thank you, i'm not a huge coffee fan"
Five "ok"
He shyly speeds back into the other room with his coffee and you take the chip bowls in a few moments later
You and Allison give each other the love look like you're talking to each other with your eyes kind of like telling each other five is acting weird, you all finish everything and you end up falling asleep on the couch, everyone goes to bed and Luther carries you up and puts you on your bed and goes to bed like everyone else

Next day
You get up, shower, get dressed and go downstairs and start on breakfast

Everyone agrees
Dad "this is lovely"
After breakfast you put on your music and you do the dishes and clean up the kitchen, five is watching you from the other room
Allison "you like her?"
Five "what, that's stupid, of course I don't"
Allison "I heard a rumor that you tell me how you feel about y/n"
