Chapter 10

                                                                                   A Berry Surprise

"Magnificent Monday honey," said Mrs. Lura, "Uppy up time!"

Amy groaned. She hated mondays. Mondays were the days where she got so much homework. She dragged herself up and put on a pink long sleeved crop top paired with frilled mint green pants. She slipped her hair into a low ponytail and put on her bunny slippers.

"What do you want for breakfast?" asked her stepdad.

"Crepes!" answered Amy perking up.

She loved it when her stepdad made breakfast. That meant they could have really fancy stuff. Her stepdad winked at her and went to the kitchen to make crepes for the family and their family maid, Lynie. The family treated Lynie like family. Afterall, if it weren't for Lynie, Amy wouldn't have been born and Mrs. Lura would have died. Amy's real dad, Mr. Lark was really mad all the time and drank a lot of alcohol. He divorced Amy's mother and died later from brain cancer.

"So, what does my beautiful mistress want?" said Mr. Lura.

Amy's mother didn't change her last name with Mr. Larck since he treated her badly but Amy's last name is Lura. Amy Lura.

"How about some french onion soup? And a beautiful walk in the park with you and my daughters?" asked Mrs. Lura.

Sometimes the family considered Lynie part of their family.

"Of course darling," replied Dad, kissing Amy's mom.

Amy went down stairs and saw Lynie had a pale yellow envelope with a pink heart shaped seal. Lynie closed her eyes, slowly opened the envelope, and stared at it.

"Here I can't read. Can you read it aloud to us?" asked Lynie, handing her the letter.

Amy glanced at her parents and her parents nodded.

"Hello Lynie. We are very grateful that you did not cheat for your college questions. Here we will give you your scores. This is for all kinds of that topic.

Math: 98%

Language arts: 86%

Physical Education: 100%

Extra Language (French): 89%

Art: 95%

Other in all: 100%

"Oh! Darling! Grimm Academy is the best school in the city!" said Mrs. Lura hugging Lynie.

Later at school, at first period, Mrs. Moon gave the third essay of the first college year. It was about your family tree and your family. After, second period, math, the girls had a 50 page math packet. It was due in February.

"I know you guys have a lot of work from me and other teachers, so, I'll let you guys use late passes and it's due in February," said Mr. Sylvester, one of the nicest teachers.

Ms. Sun is their favorite teacher and they didn't get any homework. This class though, had a sub, Ms. Sie. Just this class.

"Welcome to class, I'm Ms. Sie or Ms. S. Everyone, 5 pushups. Boys get a mat and on your knuckles!" said Ms. S narrowing her eyes.
