Drama Club Book 1 Stage Friends

Chapter 1

                                                                                 College Nerves

"Wake up!" said Ms. Kelly.

"I'm getting dressed," said Cindy.

She wore a pink sweater and jeans.

"How am I supposed to fit in when I'm so rich? People think that rich people are mean," said Cindy.

She was going to Once Upon a Time Academy. Her college. She frowned.

"Aw honey," said her mom Ms. Kelly.

"E-e-e *yawn!* Everyone will love you especially since you are so pretty!" said Mr. Kelly.

"You'll make tons of friends," said Ms. Kelly, "Now eat up!"

Cindy ate a bowl of cereal, brushed her teeth, did her hair in a ponytail, grabbed her bag and went on her blue bike. School wasn't that far away.

"Oh! Sorry sorry sorry I'll help!" exclaimed Chole who bumped into her with her pink bike.

Cindy blushed. Chole was wearing gray sweats and a blue t-shirt.

"Thanks," she murmured.

"Is this your first day at Once Upon a Time, too?" asked Chole quietly.

"Yea," Cindy said louder.

Cindy thought Chole was very nice.

"I'm nervous are you?" asked Cindy getting on her bike.

"Well yea I'm Chole you?" said Chole.

Cindy paused.

"I-I-I'm C-c-c-cind-d-dy," stammered Cindy turning red.

"We could be friends but that's okay if I make you shy," said Chole riding.

"Well, I'm usually shy but you don't need to worry. *sigh* I'll need all the friends I can get," said Cindy remembering her riches.

"Why?" asked Chole.

They were getting close to school.

"Well, I'm rich," blurted Cindy.

"That's all!?!?!?" exclaimed Chole.

Cindy explained her fears about being rich and Chole told her that it doesn't matter. They were instant friends.

"It's a good thing they actually have names on these lockers and the year we're in," said someone next to them.

"I know right! Plus a table and a map!" said another girl.

"I'm sorry, are you talking to me or her?" asked Chole.

"Both," said the first girl, " I'm Mia."

Mia was wearing a purple shirt and leggings. Alice on the other hand was wearing a pink crop top and leggings.

"Mia! Sorry, I'm Alice and I just saw Mia's hair band," said Alice.

Mia switched her pink band to a purple one.

"She's really fashion forward," said Mia.

"Wanna be friends? We are neighbors so we're already friends," said Alice.

They talked all the way to the first period and figured out that they were all together for all of their 9 periods. The first period was English.

"Hi! I'm Ms. Moon, your first period English teacher," said a kind looking woman, "I like to not put a lot of pressure on people so I won't give a lot of homework but still, please work hard.

Cindy got butterflies in her stomach. Mia smiled and whispered that it's okay and Ms. Moon seems nice.

"Introduce yourselves please," she said.

They introduced themselves. They did some work and played a word bingo. A boy called Thomas won. Thomas was wearing a white short sleeve and jeans with black sneakers. Alice fluttered her eyes.

"Don't even think about it," whispered Chole and giggled at Alice.

"Sorry I was late I-I-I-I was looking for my pet bunny Bon-Bon," said a girl called Amy.

"It's okay just sit there and introduce yourself," said Ms. Moon

"Amy," said Amy.

"Hey!" said the other girls except Cindy who just whispered it, "Bunny cute! Wanna be friends? Cindy's rich but we don't care."

"Yea thanks, it's my first year," said Amy.

They introduced each other and they became friends. They received their homework and got a list from Ms. Moon. They all got the same copies since their schedules were the same.
