THE NEXT DAY Hunter found herself sitting with Miguel, Riley, Demetri, and Eli at the lunch table listening to their school counselor go on about cyberbullying and how it's not appropriate. Hunter couldn't understand how they were trying to tackle cyberbullying when they couldn't even tackle the physical bullying within the school. She was tired of being wailed on every day by Kyler and his goons, let alone getting called out by them on social media.

"I'm not gonna name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity." Everyone in the lunchrooms eyes made it to Eli. The already vulnerable boy was now feeling even more vulnerable and embarrassed than he was before.

"I'm sorry," Riley said softly. Hunter nodded along with her girlfriend, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder. Eli tried to hide his lip the best he could, but everyone already knew.

"But our goal here is to make our school a safe space for students."

Miguel looked between Eli and Hunter before speaking up. "You know if you tired of being bullied my karate dojo's looking for recruits." Hunter perked up. This was the first she was hearing of the karate dojo. Not that she and Miguel talked often, but they did share a table at lunch as well as living next door to each other.

"Yeah right, you hear that guys? A little karate training, and your gonna kick some major ass." Demetri chimed in sarcastically making Riley snicker as well. "Besides I don't feel like getting pushed around by some old doofus, my dad does that enough," Riley commented.

"I'm serious, my sensei's the real deal, I'm sure I could get you all discounts." He explained. Hunter was never one for sports, let alone karate. But she was tired of getting pushed around by Kyler. She wanted to fight back but she didn't have any clue where to start.

"I don't know, I'll think about it." Hunter said softly, slumping into her seat. Riley looked over at her girlfriend, raising an eyebrow.

"As enticing as that sounds I'm sure we'd rather spend our afternoons playing crucible than getting hit in the face." Demetri smiled. Hunter rolled her eyes at his statement.

"You can't blame Miguel for trying, Demetri. We do get pushed around like the ball in a pinball machine" Hunter spoke up. Riley looked at her girlfriend stunned.

Riley scoffed. "So what you're in on this too?" Riley questioned, Demetri and Eli both exchanged a look. "You best stay out of this one, Miguel," Demetri said patting the boy's shoulder.
