When the sun shone through the curtains the next morning, Carmilla woke up with her arms wrapped around Laura, and smiled. She lay there, content, watching Laura's chest rise gently as she slept, and Carmilla thought that she'd never seen a scene so peaceful. She felt Laura beginning to stir and pressed a kiss to her forehead as she came back to conciousness, looking up at Carmilla slowly. The reality of what happened last night came back to her as she blinked sleep from her eyes and she flushed but cuddled closer to Carmilla anyway.

"Good morning, Laura." Carmilla breathed into her hair, still holding her.

"Morning, Carm." Laura's voice was still tinged with sleep and Carmilla chuckled at the sound.

"Do you want me to go make breakfast?" Carmilla offered, "I can whip up a mean batch of pancakes"

It was Laura's turn to laugh, giggling softly into Carmilla's chest.

"C'mon," Laura said, rolling out of bed and standing up, pulling Carmilla part way with her. She looked down at herself, then laughed as she said "Well I guess I should probably put clothes on, before we go cooking. Although it might be nice for you..."

Carmilla narrowed her eyes slightly and smirked as she stood up infront of Laura, gloating in the way her eyes dilated as she looked at Carmilla's naked form.

"As much as I'd love to go for round two, cutie, I'm hungry." She swiftly turned away from Laura and walked to the closet, throwing open the doors. She walked back to the center of the room, collected her clothing and put it back on, then paced back to the closet as an afterthought and grabbed a black v neck and red plaid flannel, along with a blue one. She tossed Laura the shirt, then put the flannel on herself, then walked over to Laura and gave her the blue flannel, with a mumble about how it made her eyes glow.

Then she exited the room and made her way to the kitchen, where she shuffled through the cabinets for a pan and the ingredients to make the pancakes, along with a few eggs. She set to work fixing breakfast, humming a song to herself as she cooked.

Laura stood staring after Carmilla's retreating form, then slipped into the shirt, pulling the sleeves up to cover her face as she sighed and giggled. Carmilla was just-just-she had no words. Carmilla was amazing. She was gorgeous and sweet and she was really good in bed. Not that that was a factor. Just a fact.

Laura inhaled deeply after she finished getting dressed, stilling herself to remember that her dad might be home. She ran over to her window and peeked out, watching his red truck pull slowly into the driveway, tired and worn out. Laura bolted downstairs, sliding into the kitchen with Carmilla as her front door opened. Carmilla turned easily, pressing a kiss to Laura's cheek and raising her eyebrows in a question, Are we...?

"Sure," Laura breathed out, a small smile on her lips. Carm kissed her again, this time on the lips.

"Good."

Laura dad strolled in, setting his lunchbox on the island and turning to Laura. "Wow sweetheart. Keep her around, this place has never smelled so good." He smiled at Carmilla before extending his hand, "Hi. I'm Rick. You must be friends with Laura."

"I'm Carmilla. Her girlfriend, actually." She raised her eyebrows as she shook his hand, then saw his eyes widen.

"Well in that case--" her pulled her in for a hug. "It's nice to meet you Carmilla. I'd give you the stereotypical 'she's my baby girl, don't do anything stupid and please don't get her pregnant', but uh. I trust you've got enough common sense to keep her safe." His eyes crinkled as her laughed, adding "And I don't think pregnant is going to be am issue."

Carmilla looked relieved and Laura smiled at her, lacing their fingers and pulling her back from her dad so they could keep cooking.

"Sorry Dad, but our pancakes will burn. Then what will we feed you?" She laughed and turned back to the stove, tossing a little flour in Carmilla's hair as she did so, smiling at the way the powder lightened her hair and her already pale complexion. Carmilla turned around with a huff and blew hair and flour out of her face, shaking her head at Laura in wonder before she dipped her finger in the batter bowl and wiped it on Laura's nose.

"Caaaarm..." Laura whined, "get it off me!"

Carmilla leaned forward, pulling Laura to her, and said "As you wish, cupcake" as she licked the batter from its spot on Laura's face.

A/N: Hey guys! I think this one's a little short, but I'm writing on mobile and is hard to tell. If I go back and read it I might give you a short chap tomorrow, and then a longer one on Thursday. No promises, this is a busy week for me.

I'm at just over 700 reads and idk if you can call that success but to me, it definitely is. Thank you so much.

QOTD: Who's your favorite band? Mine is either Brand New or The Wonder Years.

Have a wonderful day!
