Laura wasn't sure quite why LaF and Perry were so intent on dragging her to get coffee today, but when she was on the phone with them yesterday she heard LaFontaine mumble excitedly in the background about going on double dates.

Laura had just broken up with Jeff (okay maybe it was a few months ago, but they'd been together a long time) after she found him with some blonde cheerleader after the football game, sucking face under the bleachers, and she wasn't sure if she was all too ready for a relationship yet. She guessed there wasn't much harm in seeing who this new person was, after all.

Laura's always been pretty comfortable with her sexuality, guys and girls both appealing to her. Although, lately she'd been checking out more females and she guessed LaF had picked up on that.

Suddenly her phone dinged

LaFontaine: Yo hurry up we're outside. Hope you're ready for this! (:

Laura: Yeah okay I'll be down in a sec. Just putting my shoes on.

The truth is, Laura's shoes have been on for hours, and she'd been pacing nervously, going over multiple scenarios in her head

What if they're ugly?

Or worse, what if they're hot?

What if they don't like me?

Oh well, she thought as she ducked out the front door and hopped in the back seat of Lafontaine's car, glancing at their and Perry's intertwined fingers and feeling a twinge in her gut.

"So, who's this mystery date?" She asked.

"Her name's Carmilla. I really think you'll like her. She's new in town, she moved in a few doors down from Perry around a month ago. She starts school with us next week, a senior just like us," LaF replied as they drove.

When Carmilla walked into the coffee shop, she looked around for her new neighbor's curls, and heard her name called from behind her. She turned around to see none other than (Was it Perry or Penny? Priscilla? Shit.) grinning at her, partner in tow per usual. This time though, they were accompanied by a girl that Carmilla could only describe as cute. She smiled shyly at Carmilla, and offered a small wave. Carmilla returned both, smirking despite herself as her heart warmed at the sight of the girl.

"Well look at you, cutie. Aren't you adorable," Carm flirted. She watched as the girls cheeks flushed, relishing the feeling it gave her, and decided to take it a step further. She stepped forward, took the girl's hand and pressed it to her lips, saying "I'm Carmilla, and you are--?"

"L-Laura"

"Well, "L-Laura", it is very nice to meet you." She dropped a wink and another smirk.

Penny (or Perry) coughed slightly from the side, breaking the moment.

"Well, uh, LaF and I are going to get order drinks, we'll leave you two alone for a few to erm- save the table...."

And the two dashed off, giggling like school children.
