________________________________________Hinata leaned against the grey stone as she spoke. "It's been awhile since we talked like this, isn't that right, papa?"
"I'm sorry that it took a long time for me to visit you. I hope that you're not angry with me." She continued, trailing her fingers over the cold, hard surface.
"Actually, I came here to tell you that I'm officially regarded as a professional indoor volleyball player now!" She exclaimed with a bright smile. "You told me to make a name for myself because of my skills and follow what my heart wants. I took your advice by heart until now and I decided to play indoor volleyball now."
"Don't get me wrong, I still love beach volleyball. It's the only thing that reminded me of you, papa. But mama's words made me realize that perhaps I love indoor volleyball slightly more than beach volleyball," she informed.
"So my graduation ceremony is tomorrow and yet, I still haven't decided whether to join a college team or pursue my volleyball career professionally and skip college. My best friend, Kageyama, the one I told before - he's going to straight into the V-League and now he's a part of the men's national team. Hmph, that baka sounded so smug when he told me through a call," she puffed out her cheeks, crossing her arms petulantly.
"Even Yu-kun is going straight into the V-League and will be start playing with the Warriors soon!" She whined in a child-like tone before gazing at the stone and sighed.
"I need your help, papa. Should I go pro or go to college first? Mama said she's okay with whatever decision that I make but I don't know if I can separate with her and Natsu for a long time," she slumped in defeat, bumping her head against the stone. "I'm not used to being away from them for a long time."
Silence ensued after that. Only the sound of the birds chirping and the wind blowing in the sky filled the air. Hinata slowly pulled away and sat up straight as she gazed at the gravestone in front of her.
Here lies, Hinata Haru, beloved son, husband, father and friend. 1966-1996.
"If you were alive, what would you do?" The ginger murmured softly under her breath before shutting her eyes closed.
She was feeling peaceful as she enjoyed the nature around her, deep in her own world. It was as if she was entering her meditation state.
Then, at that moment, she felt a warm hand clasping on her shoulder and a familiar voice rang inside her head.
"My little sunshine, you're a big girl now. Only you know what your heart truly wants. If you're worried about your mother and sister, I'm sure they will be fine. Do what makes you happy. Make sure to set your goals very clearly and do your best to achieve it. You know what's the best opportunity for you."
Her father's voice soon faded and slowly, her eyes fluttered open. She barely registered the tears streaming down her cheeks as she stared at the gravestone with an unreadable look.
Then, a smile slowly graced her features as she wiped the tears away. "Thank you, papa. For everything."
After that, Hinata finally came up with her decision as she left the cemetery.
________________________________________Akari stared her oldest daughter in shock. "You're taking up the offer of one of the foreign teams??" She asked.
She nodded. "Yeah, Sesc Jaguars in Brazil! It's based in Rio so I can meet Pedro, Heitor, Nice and all of my friends there again!" She answered.
