Midnight's POV
When I arrived at Aizawa's house it was 10 a.m. I think.
I rang the doorbell, expecting to have to wait half an hour, but to my surprise the door opened immediately. 'Hey Aizawa!' I said. 'Up already?' He mumbled something like 'please save me' and invited me to come in. The first thing I noticed was the smell of fresh toast. 'You even made breakfast!' I laughed. He nodded, obvisiously thinking it was not that funny. When I entered the living room my jaw dropped. On the couch sat a little girl with white hair. She looked at me with almost glowing red eyes. She seemed curious. 'Uhhhh.... Yoko, this is Nemuri, also known as Midnight. She is one of the strongest heroes. Nemuri, this is Yoko.' The girl's eyes widened. She stared at me, back at Aizawa and back at me. 'Uh, what did you need my help with?' I asked Aizawa. He sighed. 'Girl. No clothes. No idea. Help.' I laughed. If that was everything... 'Okay, I'll help you. But.... you have to come along.'
Aizawa's POV
NO. HELL NO. Not even a single cell in my body was even THINKING about it.
That's what I wished I had said. But I said 'fine'. And here I was, driving to the mall.
I just wanted to cocoon all day. Like always. So this was basically the situation in the car:
Nemuri: So, Yoko, do you like shopping?
Yoko:...
Me: She doesn't talk.
Nemuri: Oh.
Nemuri: Does she write?
Then Nemuri tried to start a conversation with me but I didn't want to reply so she stopped trying. I was relieved when we reached the mall.
'So, she needs some shirts, sweaters, trousers, socks, underwear and shoes. Then you could also look for toys.'
First thing Yoko did when we got out of the car? Hide behind our backs. She spread her arms and pointed at the people walking around. Ah, a lot of people. 'Yeah, I know there are a lot. Just stay close to us, okay?' I said. She grabbed my arm really tight.
I really loved Yoko's shopping behaviour: That's a shirt. Oh, it fits. Let's take some of them. Oh, then the sweater will fit too. Two is enough. Yeah, no. No jeans. These are good. Are we done yet? We were done in 30 minutes. She didn't have any preference for toys, so I took a ball she kind of liked. On our way back there suddendly was this crowd of people. Yoko held my arm evene tighter as we heard them talking about 'a villain'. 'DAMNIT' Nemuri sweared. She couldn't do her job now because of the crowd and I just wanted to get out of there. (I was a teacher! I only worked at night usually!)
Yoko's POV
It was one of my father's minions, I was sure. I recognised his voice. Then suddendy the crowd moved and he had full sight of us. I heard Nemuri swear. His laugh reached my ears and I fought against the tears that were trying and to escape. 'Don't cry yet, you can cry later',Zeke whispered in my ear. 'Look who we have here. Aren 't you a little far from home little Yoko! Master is looking for you'... 'he's a liar. Come yoko. Return to head relt.' ecan. you..'He 's a liar. A liar, liar, liar and a murderer'. You're important to him. Come back to the League with me , Yoko. Return to the League. I shook my head, I could feel the barrier melt. 'Stop it, Yoko. I can't help you if you lose control', Zeke said. I closed my eyes and focused on the strength in me. A sharp pain went through my head as if I wanted to let me know that I could use that power now. I growled. It seemed to echo everywhere. I looked at Zeke. He's a liar echoed through my mind. "He killed his own blood," said Zeke. He was now on display. "She doesn't belong in the League. They hurt her, they forced her. If your life is dear to you, I suggest you leave... " I felt Zeke slowly conect with my body. We raised our hands at the same time. Dark black flames came out of our hands '...or you will burn.' A gate appeared and my father's minion dissapeared. The world went black.
Aizawa's Pov
I already knew something was wrong, but I didn't expect this. When the villain started talking I noticed Yoko became more furious by the second. Her demon guardian began talking words that could've come out of Yoko's mouth. I saw her eyes slowly became pitch black as a thick, black liquid began pouring out of them. They held out there hands as flames began leaking out. They would have burned the villain if the portal didn't appear. As the flames came closer to the villain, the *sshole jumped into the portal or more like fleed. As Yoko began falling down I quickly ran to her and cathed her before she reached the ground. She laid weak in my arms as I waited for any hero to come.
As soon as the hero arrived I carried Yoko to the car. Nemuri hurried after me. 'Is she okay?', she asked. 'Mhm, she just blacked out, that's all'. I layer her on the backseat. I got into the car as Nemuri placed the bags in the back and seated in the passengers seat. 'Just one question, Aizawa... Why didn't you use your quirk? I mean...' 'He wasn't using a quirk I snapped. Nemuri was quiet as I drove home. She even was quiet when we arrived. She placed her hand on my arm. 'If you need anything, just call okay?' She got out of the car and I just sat there for a couple of seconds, my hands resting on the wheel. I turned my head to see Yoko was still unconscious. I stepped out of the car and carried the bags into the house. The I picked Yoko up. It hurled me to see Yoko like this. How was it even possible for a 5-year old to have so much power?
