╰┈─➤ 『 08. you're under my control 』
"the house you're driving to isn't really my actual one, just so you know," jungkook all of the sudden said and taehyung sharply stopped the car, "what's that supposed to mean now?" he scowled.
he was in a bad mood.
because of none other than his damn ex, park jimin."i don't have anything useful there to find the killer. we'd have to drive to my mansion for that, detective," jungkook leaned his arm onto the backrest of taehyung's seat and tilted his head, "i could call someone to bring us there."
taehyung scoffed, "you really think i'd fall for that?"
leaning more towards the other, jungkook grinned, "fall for what? my looks and personality? i do think that, detective kim," he mocked him.
a groan left the man at the criminal's words.
"for fucks sake, fine. tell me the adress, so i can drive us there."
jungkook chuckled, "someone's a bit too easy to convince." a laugh left the mafia boss, before he turned his head to look out of the window, "cheongdam. i'll drive from there on."
"no, you most definitely won't."
turning his head back around to meet taehyung's gaze, the man couldn't help the evil curve of his lip, "i didn't ask now, did i?"
and taehyung found himself staying silent for the first time in years.
———
"we're here."
taehyung stepped out of the passenger seat and looked up at the huge mansion in front of him. wind brushed past the two men as they strolled towards the entrance.
guards stood in almost every corner, observing jungkook and taehyung silently.
"you really had enough money, huh?" the detective grumbled at the sight of the golden door handle, "oh, please, that's a must for a mansion." jungkook grinned, before he opened the door.
silence engulfed them as soon as they got inside, the ceiling being so high above, that taehyung thought he was in a palace. jungkook let out a deep sigh, extending his arms, "welcome!" he raised his voice a bit and smiled widely with a raised brow, "you need a drink, detective?"
"no, thank you," taehyung answered coldly, taking cautious steps into another room with a smirking jungkook trailing behind him.
because taehyung didn't know what he got himself into.
he made a mistake.
and jungkook was going to use that for his benefit.
while taehyung looked around the hall, jungkook shortly glanced back— not failing to notice the man standing on the stair case with narrowed eyes. he nodded at him.
and the man disappeared again.
grinning, jungkook strolled more towards the detective who had stopped in front of a huge painting. he halted in his tracks right behind taehyung, his chest touching the man's back, "you like it?" he rasped into his ear.
taehyung flinched.
he turned his head a bit, "it looks good," the man said and was about to step away from jungkook, when the criminal pulled him flush against himself.
"what are you doing? let me go, jeon," taehyung growled, only to hear the other chuckle darkly. jungkook lifted his free hand to let it travel over the detective's arm up to his neck.
"you see, taehyung," he started, "you probably should have taken someone else out of prison instead of me."
the other felt himself tense the second jungkook's calloused hand wrapped itself around his throat from behind, "but there's no turning back now," he whispered.
his warm breath hit taehyung's ear and said male didn't even notice when he leaned his head back against the criminal's shoulder while swallowing heavily.
"already giving yourself to me, detective? i was hoping for more resistance," jungkook whispered, tightening his hold on taehyung's throat for a second, "but i can work with that, too."
eyes snapping back open in realization, taehyung pushed himself out of the man's grip, chest heaving up and down.
a teasing smirk took place on jungkook's lips, "there it is," he murmured, "but we both know you won't be able to resist me for long anyway."
taehyung stared wide-eyed at the man in front of him. he didn't know what was happening anymore. usually, he was the one in control; the predator. people respected him.
but now— he felt like the prey.
and the teasing look on jungkook's face didn't make him feel any better.
"what did you expect, detective?" the mafia boss said, "freeing criminals from prison and them just listening to you? bummer." he chuckled all while taehyung still tried to process what had just happened.
jungkook let out a deep sigh, leaning more towards the other again till he was caged against the wall. he lifted his hand up to taehyung's chin and tilted his head a bit, "you may think you got me under your control, but in reality— it's the other way around. you're in my house, kim, and that means you must follow my rules."
"jeon-" taehyung got cut off by the deep rumble of jungkook's laugh, "i could kill you so easily," he whispered to himself, thumb moving over the detective's lip, "but you're somehow quite fascinating. and i know you're hiding something— otherwise you'd be scared."
taehyung glared at the mafia boss in front of him, trying to ignore his thumb roaming over his lip. hell, he didn't know what jungkook was planning and it was already driving him insane.
he hated it.
he hated to not know what was going on.
"i'll get you to tell me your little secret sooner or later, kim," jungkook said, locking gazes with the wide-eyed taehyung, "you're under my control."
