Chapter II

🌼Your POV🌼

I held the note in my hand as I headed to the stairs for the second floor

When I was passing the classrooms,

They were all empty

Not even the teachers lingered behind

It was like everyone evacuated the school

Some of the lights were turned off, even though the school day ended a few minutes ago

I shrugged it off and walked up the stairs

...

Once I got to the washrooms, no one was around, so I just leaned against the wall and waited

A few minutes went past, so I just went on my phone

Not even realizing someone was in front of me

I saw only their legs

So I looked up From my phone

And I saw saiki

He had the same emotionless expression on his face

I moved my eyes over

To see that his arm was right next to my head

His hand almost seemed as if it was denting the wall

I slowly retuned my gaze to his face

"You saw it, didn't you?"

Was he talking about what happened in the cafe?

I didn't respond

He sighed

"Just answer the question"

Once again

I didn't answer

Instead, I slipped under his arm and ran the other way

While running, I heard saiki groan.

Soon, I was on the 3rd floor, and I had time to look for somewhere to hide before saiki comes back

The roof

Took a while, but I found the way to the roof

The scenery around the school was fairly pretty

So I sighed in relief, feeling safe up here

I slowly walked over to the edge

The school is almost covered with bushes

I could probably sneak back down and hide in them-

My thoughts were interrupted by heavy steps coming towards me
