Chapter III

🌼your POV🌼

"How would a medium help with This?"

I asked while trying to keep up with saiki's pace

He didn't respond

We stopped when we neared a guy with purple hair, he was talking to a girl, but she seemed uninterested, so she left

He sighed and looked over at us

Suddenly brightening up

"Oh hey saiki! Who's the chick"

He then winked at me

I can see why the other girl left

"Do you see her guardian spirit?"

Saiki ignored his blatant question

"Uh, I don't see anyone's guardian spirit besides mine and yours, which is uh, strange I guess, why?"

Saiki sighed 

"Meet me at cafe mami at 5, I'll explain later"

And so we were off again

...

After saiki used his 'clairvoyance', we headed to  the mall

I'm guessing we are meeting with someone else

I was right, since we walked towards a girl who was talking on her phone at the cafeteria in the mall

Once she saw us, she hung up and smiled

"Heya saiki! Who's this?"

Once again, saiki didn't answer

"Tell her her fortune"

"Uh okay? Take a seat in front of me"

Saiki let go of my wrist, so I took a seat

She takes a crystal ball out of her bag

And After a few minutes of her just staring at the ball, she shrugs

"Sorry girl, didn't see anything"

Saiki pinched the bridge of his nose

"Both of you, come with me, we're going to the cafe to explain some stuff"

Saiki grabbed my wrist again, but let the other girl walk freely

I sighed

...

Once we all got to the cafe, the medium was impatiently waiting

"You guys are finally here, now what is this about?"

We all sit at a booth together, the medium and fortune teller sat together, while me and saiki sat on the other side together

Saiki explained everything, but I wasn't really paying attention

"So you're saying, that this chick is just, immune to everything you've changed about the world and that's super dangerous?"

The medium asked, who I realized was named reita

Saiki nodded

"All I'm asking is to just, protect her as much as you could, she's very prone to injuries and she isn't the brightest"

"Hey!"

I tried nudging Saiki, but he didn't budge

"You jumped off a building, I'm allowed to say that"

"That was to get away from you!"

I crossed my arms

Reita and Mikoto awkwardly sat their

"I'll protect her 24/7, no matter what"

Reita winked

"This isn't the time for that"

Saiki's voice had a hint of annoyance

I sighed

"Now, is this meeting over? I've had a hard day and would really like to get home"

"I'll walk you home"

I quickly exchanged numbers with everyone, then left the cafe with saiki

...

He walked me all the way home

We didn't talk at all

I really wonder what he was thinking about

Since he always looked deep in thought

I soon realized we were at my house

I turn over and thanked saiki

Then walked to the door and went inside

For some reason

It feels like I forgot to do something

I quickly re open the door

But saiki has disappeared
