Senth's P.O.V 

~The day she got the earbuds~

"Happy sweet sixteen, pumpkin! Here they are!" My mom exclaimed, handing me my soulbuds box. "Make sure to charge them at night so you can talk all day! Now, it's time for breakfast! Pancakes with chocolate chips and some of your tea for you!" We walked from the stairs to the kitchen. I sat at the snack bar and thanked my mom as she gave me my pancakes and tea. She set a plate of pancakes next to me along with a cup of coffee before sitting down next to me and striking up a conversation.

"Are you gonna tell your soulmate your name when you two talk?" I shrugged before replying, "I don't know yet, if they say their name, I'll say mine but I think voices are enough to identify them." We continued to talk before I had to put my shoes on and leave for school.

"Bye mom! Love you!" Before I shut the door, I heard her from the kitchen. "I love you too, pumpkin!" I smiled as I walked the thirty minutes it took to get to school since we lived fairly close. I grabbed my earbuds and listened to some music. I wanted to try my soulbuds but they weren't charged so I had to wait.

~After school because I don't want to write school shit~

Senth's P.O.V ~same day~

I opened the door, slipping my hand behind me to lock it again. "Mom! I'm home!" After no response I called out again. "Mom?!" I walked into the living room and saw a note that said:

Dear Pumpkin,

     I went to the store, I'll be back by six. Please clean the counters, switch the wash, and do any homework you have. I'll worry about the rest. 

I love you pumpkin,
                                      -Mom

"Ok, I'll just switch the wash first." I did all my chores, my homework, and grabbed a snack before running up to my room to charge my soulbuds. I plugged them in, laying and picking up a book.

After a little while, I heard a ding. I set the book I was reading down to look around the room, trying to see the source of the sound until I remembered my soulbuds were charging. I turned so I wasn't laying down and looked at my soulbuds, they were charged!

I picked them up and put them in, saying a simple, "Hello?" and waiting. After a few minutes, I knew they weren't using their soulbuds or even looking at them so I decided to try every now and again.

~Present day~

Senth's P.O.V

"They still haven't even used them.." I finished my story. I was with Sean, nobody else was in the lobby at the time so nobody else heard. We haven't started to stream yet so we just talked and waited for more people. 

"Wow, they sound like shit."
"Right? Seven years and not even a greeting."

Sykkuno, Corpse, Dave and Pewds all joined the lobby soon after. We all started our own streams except Corpse. Corpse had explained he probably shouldn't stream today because he was too nervous so he was just playing today.

"Yeah, sorry guys."
"You're fine, you don't have to stream or record if you don't want to."
"If you say so."
