The bell rang, and Aaliyah and Min-Joon entered through the glass, metal framed door. They remained in the entrance of the greek restaurant and Aaliyah looked around. The restaurant itself was small, not bigger than the average McDonalds, but there was something homey about it. Wether it was the family pictures hung up on the wall or the white stone walls with with wooden framed windows, she already knew she'd love it there. As they waited for the hostess to direct them to their table, Aaliyah found herself unintentionally hooking her arm with Min-Joon's and resting her head on his shoulder. She took a deep breath, taking in the scent of his Dior Sauvage cologne. Once the hostess approached them, Aaliyah stood up straight, but held onto Min-Joon. The hostess, a middled aged white women, smiled to them.
"Table for two?" the hostess asked as she looked between then, waiting for one of them to respond.
"Yes, please," Aaliyah said.
The hostess nodded. She walked over to the podium and picked up two menus.
"This way," she said as she put her arm out and led them to a table further down the restaurant. The arrived tot heir seating which was a wooden table, covered by lace trimmed place mat, with cushioned matching chairs. The hostess placed the menu's down in front of both chairs. As Aaliyah took a seat down, Min-Join removed his jacket and placed it on the back of his chair. Min-Joon pulled the chair out, took a seat, and brought it in. There was a decent amount of people in the resultant, not more than 15 people excluding the chat. There was a bit of chatter, and clanking from dishes and plates in the back, but for the most part the restaurant was calm.
As Min-Joon scanned through the menu, Aaliyah lean forward placing her chin in her hand. Min-soon looked up from the menu and smiled. Aaliyah's face was truly beautiful, small and doll like, with doe eyes and plump lips. Her hair, as dark as an onyx stone, framed her hair perfectly. As if she had waves cascading down past her shoulders. He placed his forearms on the table and leaned forward, bringing his face closer to hers.
"This place is really-," Aaliyah said. He gave her a quick peck and smiled as he sat back into her chair. Aaliyah stared for a moment dumbfounded. It took her a moment, but when she collected herself, she sat up straight. She looked around and smiled shyly.
"What was that for?" she asked.
"I couldn't't help myself," he replied. She playfully kicked his leg softly under the table.
"As I was saying, this place is really nice. How long have you been coming here?" Aaliyah asked.
"I'm not sure exactly, but a few years at least. It has Good food, nice owners, its the perfect place," Min-soon said.
"How could I have missed this? I love going to small businesses. It's so close too," Aaliyah said.
"Maybe you just weren't searching for it at the time," Min-Joon stated.
"Touche," she said with a smile as she nodded her head. The waiter arrived to the table, a young man, not much older than 25. He pulled out a note pad and pen from the pocket of his apron.
"Good afternoon, my name is Michael and I'll be your server today. Can I get you started with anything," he asked. Min-Joon and Aaliyah glanced at each other.
"We'll start with water for now," Min-Joon requested.
"Alright. I'll be back with your waters in just a moment." The waiter nodded and walked off. Aaliyah went through the menu, reading each option from the appetizers to the desserts.
"So...," Aaliyah begun.
"So?" Min-Joon asked
"Do you remember what you promised me?" Aaliyah asked, looking up with only her eyes.
