Chapter 7 - Not gonna Die

When i was age of 8, my parents became a victim of a plague. The whole block where i lived died. I was the only one who survived. After the plague was gone, many people called me "cursed" or "undead". The preacher said once, "even the death don't want me."

To be alive was more a like curse than blessing.

They make me feel like this.

I was angry to them. I want them to die. But was powerless. Just a young orphan with no tomorrow.

Half a year later, my uncle came for me. My father, his younger brother and he was separated after pa married with mom. At first i was afraid of him, but he just hugged me and said.

"Everything to be alright, little (Name). Im here for you"

I felt calmness spread through my body after his words. I cried uncontrollably as i hugged him. After school, I spend most of time at the barack, interacting with various peoples. I want to learn from them.

Uncle Mike did not really liked it, but i joined the Survey Corps at age of 16. Commander Erwin was a nice, kind man. Squad leader Hange was very, very strange but also a funny woman. And then...i met him.

I first i was so scared, when i faced with him, i run away. Uncle teased me for a whole week for this. When we make our first talk, surprisingly i got a praise for my room and clothes always clean and asked what kind of cleaner i use.

Many people call him scary, because he always wear a "im done with everyone b*llshit" face, but if he let speak with him casually, he is actually a nice guy.

Hey (Name), you wanna eat something?

Eh, im not really hungry Captain.

Im not asked you hungry or not - just....

He want to ask you out, (Name). - Commander Erwin rested his hand on Captain Levi's head, but the latter chagrin. My face become red.

I nod.
