True Colors

Chapter Four

Finally Brainstorm, Ratchet, Perceptor and some others were able to find the parts they needed for the Lost Light and started to get to work. Ultra Magnus and Rodimus have been hanging out doing all that other good stuff, mates do. Megatron is basically the third wheel. As the Lost Light was ready to launch Rodimus was stuck in his quarters. He hasn't been feeling good for the past few weeks. When the Lost Light quantum jumped back in track Ratchet went through a medical scan with Rodimus. "Ultra Magnus. You're needed in the medbay." Ultra Magnus and Megatron showed up, they must've been conversating when the call went through. "What's wrong?" Megatron asked. Magnus knelt by Rodimus and held his small servos into his own. Ratchet set his scanner back on the counter. "Rodimus seems to be sparked by from what I can see." Rodimus gasped and looked at his two large friends. Drift walked over and rested his arms on Ratchet's shoulder. "When would the sparkling be due?" Magnus asked, standing up.

Ratchet sighed and shrugged his shoulders, "Hard to tell. It depends on which creator it takes after. If it takes after Rodimus it should only be an average of 6 months. If it takes after you, Magnus, then I'd say 9-12 months." Megatron whistled and looked to his side, "That's a lot to think about Doc." Drift walked over and rested his servos on Rodimus's thighs. "I'm so excited! You're guys sparkling is gonna be so cute!" Rodimus set his servos on Drift's shoulders. "I know! I'm excited too!!" The two squealed as Rodimus was gonna have a sparkling. Megatron leaned over o Ultra Magnus. "You nervous." Magnus looked over and nodded. "Oh yea." When the two friends were done talking about the sparkling the three commanders headed back to their command room.

"MAGNUS!!" Rodimus called. The blue mech and his grey friend/brother stepped in. "What's wrong?" Rodimus grit his denta and groaned. Megatron took one look at the captain and managed to get by Magnus and lift the small mech into his arms. "Magnus message Ratchet. It's time." Ultra Magnus started to freak out. The sparkling was coming and Magnus didn't know what to do. When they reached the medbay Drift was the only one there. "What's going on?" He asked. Megatron laid Rodimus down. Ultra Magnus stepped in and sat down. "The sparkling is on its way." Drift gasped and jumped clapping, "Omg!"

-/: Later Ratchet shows up and they go through all that other stuff :\-

Rodimus was in stasis as Megatron and Magnus sat near him. Megatron rubbed Ultra Magnus' back as the mech was shaking. "It's alright Magnus. I know it's nerve racking but you'll be fine. You'll know what to do by instinct." The doors slid open and Ratchet and Drift stepped in. "Come here." Ratchet said. Megatron looked at Magnus and signaled him to go. Ultra Magnus stood up and followed Ratchet into the back room. Drift stayed to check on Rodimus. Ratchet opened the door and Magnus looked over to a small sparkling with his body but Rodimus's colors. "There she is." Ultra Magnus knelt down and slowly set his digit into the cradle. The young sparkling winced and latched onto his digit. Ratchet leaned in the doorway and smiled. "So what you gonna name her?" Ultra Magnus held the small sparkling in his palm. "I want Rodimus to do that." The two headed back to the main room to see Rodimus up. "Magnus how's the sparkling?" The blue mech knelt down by his mate as Drift stepped back. "She's amazing." Ultra Magnus removed his top servo and the small sparkling rose her helm up to look at her Carrier. She cooed and reached out to him.

Rodimus gasped and took the young into his arms. "You're so tiny! It's adorable!!" Drift held onto Ratchet's arm and smiled. Rodimus nuzzled the sparklings nose and giggled. "I'll name you, Nova, after our once great leader Nova Prime." Megatron smiled and shook his digit near the sparkling. She cooed and latched on. "She's so cute." The grey mech said. Ultra Magnus lowered his helm down and Nova let go of Megatron's digit. She crawled over and latched onto Magnus' face. "Dada." She spoke. Drift and Rodimus gasped. "Omg you spoke!" Rodimus said. Nova giggled and said it over and over again. Now two great things happened. The Lost Light was back on course and the two captains were now going to be happier than ever.
