I couldn't sleep for a while. I was thinking about Meghan. How could she be so childish...?
I was turning around in my bed again and again. I couldn't find a comfortable position for problems, really. From time to time I checked the clock and I had to realise that most of my useful sleeping time was gone by the time I got tired.
I didn't remember what exactly I did between the time I last looked at my clock and fell asleep, but I definitely wasn't thinking of anything nice, since I didn't dream of anything nice...
I woke up for my alarm clock at seven am as usual on weekdays.
I went to have breakfast, but the house was strangely quiet. Ana was nowhere.
I found a note on the table :

I went out shopping. There's food in the fridge. I'll get back at around 07:45.
                                                          Ana

Apparently I was alone in the house. I took some food from the fridge and ate it slowly. I did everything slower than usual.
By the time Ana got home I was ready and on my phone to pass time. I didn't even realise how long stuff take if you have someone to talk to.
"Hi! I'm back, sorry for leaving just like that..." Ana said, entering the house.
"No problem, I had to think about stuff anyways..." Ana looked confused, but she didn't ask anything.
I got to school very much on time, just five minutes before classes started.
Meghan was sitting next to Zoe talking to her quietly. They didn't realise I was there so I tried to get around them to hear what they were talking about, but so they wouldn't see me.
I was almost out of their sight when Meghan suddenly looked up and saw me. She instantly got up from her seat and pretended that nothing happened between us, and that she didn't just talk to the girl she hated so mush a few hours ago.
"Hi!" she said and hugged me. I didn't know how to react so I didn't move but said "hi" back to her.
"Nice to see you!" Zoe said smiling and calm when Meghan let me go. Meghan looked at her a weird way and they smiled at me even weirder.
"Uh, is everything OK?" I asked confused.
"Better than okay." Zoe said in the same weird way. They both looked so chill, if I wouldn't have known them, I could say they were best friends since kindergarten.
The day went by, by them acting really weird, whispering to each other and smiling. I didn't know what was happening. And on top of that, Zoe stayed with us for the whole day, and didn't even look at her weird friends.
"I know you need some time "out of your comfort zone", but at least you could try not to ignore us completely..." one of her friends, Lucy, said when she came up to us at the end of the day. "You make us sick! One day you say that you love us all, and the other day you don't look our way, as if we weren't there at all. Don't you remember we promised Nate, Jacob and Martin to go to Nate's party this afternoon?" she added.
"Oh, no. I forgot about that. Sorry." Zoe replied the calmest way possible.
Lucy looked mad. Zoe and her were part of a five member friend group, that was now killed by Zoe hanging out with others for a whole day, as Lucy explained it very sad.
I tried to laugh it off, but Zoe and Meghan weren't in the mood. They said they needed to leave and they really did so.
"Guess it's all your fault than..." Lucy said disappointed, looking at me. "I just can't understand what's so special about you. We were there for her, tried to help her and that's what we get for it... I don't have anything against you, it's just you messed up the class. Not your fault of course. Maybe Zoe should have been more careful. "
I didn't understand this whole day, it's really been a mess.
