"So it turns out it was all a set-up and they were watching us the entire time and they said it was an assessment when we all know they were tryna make things less awkward when there wasn't really any need and the only thing we got out of it was scaring the shit outta you by making you think your brother was gonna die," Lucas says.

We're standing on the rooftop of Shin Intel, and we're both staring at the city below us. The wind whips the loose strands of my ponytail and I nod my head.

"Don't forget the part where the entire thing was fake and that the weird grey room we were in created the whole thing, and we were basically the first test subjects of a million won's worth of tech," I say, sighing.

"Yup, that pretty much sums it all up," Lucas says.

"I mean, only a few of them knew," he adds.

"Yeah, which makes me think one of them came up with the idea and convinced the other four. Who kidnapped you again?" I ask jokingly.

Lucas pulls a face.

"Hendery and Kun," he answers.

"Must've been hard," I joke, laughing.

"Oi, shut up. I'm taller than you so there's more of me," he says, and I laugh, then yawn.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Two am,"

"Shit, I got school tomorrow," I say, and it's Lucas' turn to laugh.

"Imagine having school,"

"Shut up. You wanna come over to mine? I need a ride,"

"Yeah, and you're not allowed to stay home alone,"

"Oh, shut up,"

As soon as I knock on the Dreamies' door, it swings open to reveal Jaemin flashing his wide smile.

"My favourite person's here!" he says, and I laugh as he hugs me as hard as he can.

"Jaemin stop harassing her, she slept for like four hours last night," I hear Jeno call out, and I grin.

Jaemin lets go of me and I walk into the living room.

"Jeno, stop being jealous," I say teasingly, sitting down on the sofa.

"Where's Renjun?" I ask.

"Pretending to be dead so he doesn't have to revise," Chenle answers.

"He's an idiot," Jisung comments.

"Don't let him hear you," Haechan mumbles, staring at his phone screen.

He instantly grins and starts typing something.

"Who are you talking to?" I ask him, wiggling my eyebrows.

He instantly looks up.

"Nobody," he says putting his phone away.

"You know, I could easily hack into your phone and find out," I say.

"Do it. You won't find anything interesting," he says.

The front door opens again, and Mark walks in, grinning widely.

"Surprise!" he says, holding up bags of food.

"What's this?" Jisung asks in surprise, and Mark's smile falls.

"Not gonna lie, I expected more enthusiasm," he says, sitting in front of the coffee table.
