Chapter 2: School Tour and Tikki

Chapter 2
A/N- So before this chapter starts I would like to say that the timeline will be different from the original miraculous series for multiple reasons that you will see as you read. Also yes Marinette can speak French. Enjoy! :)

A week before school
Marinette p.o.v
So far staying with the Dupain-Chengs has been nice they treat me well and I've got my own room that connects to the roof. School starts in a week so I  am on my way to get a school tour. While on my way I see an old man crossing the street, WITH A CAR HEADING STRAIGHT FOR HIM!! I kick it in high gear and run to push out of the way, moving my body to take the force of the fall as well. "Are you alright?" I ask while scanning him for injuries. "I'm alright young lady, Thank you". He replies but I can't help but feel like he is hiding something, 'oh well everyone is entitled to their own secrets' I think while scanning him one last time before we head our separate ways. Finally, I head out to get to the school, and getting there I see there are two other students there a tan girl with red and brown hair and a blond boy. I walk up to them "hello? Are you also here for the tour?" I ask suddenly feeling nervous. "Oh uh yes, I'm Adrian" the blond replies "I'm Alya," the girl says quickly after. "Ah I'm Marinette Kent, a pleasure to meet you!" Adrien opens his mouth to say something but is quickly interrupted by Alya "Kent?? As in Lois Lane-Kent and Clark Kent? From the daily planet??" She sakes in rapid-fire. "...yes, Ummm" I hesitantly reply not used to this reaction. "You're parents are my idols......" she starts off before going into a tangent about them that I've already stopped listening to. I turn to the blond Adrien if I am correct. "So where'd your move from?" I question trying to make conversation. "Oh, no I was born in Paris I've just been homeschooled until now" now this piqued my interest "really, why if you don't mind me asking?" "Oh, my father, he's very overprotective, and I'm model so you know fans" he states back sadly "so I'm guessing you haven't had any friends before huh?" I question "oh, no I have one friend but I've known her since we were in diapers, so I don't think it counts which making my own friends" "well then start there are two people your age here" Alya joins in before I could say anything 'when did she stop rambling?' Anyway "she has a point," I say before he could respond. He thinks for a second before "alright, my name is Adrien Agreste want to be friends?" Alya and I look at each other before smiling back at Adrien "sure!" We reply. Finally, the tour guide gets here "hello students my name is Miss Bustier and all of you will be in my class this year" she says smiling before she starts the tour.

After the tour
Marinette p.o.v

The tour has finished and I and my new friends are about to go our separate ways when Adrien's father's assistant shows up and starts telling him off. Saying how he missed about nine photoshoots alone today. This caught my interest so I jump in "excuse me did you say nine photoshoots?" I ask "yes I did" "really and how long are each photoshoot?" "An hour" after she says that she realizes what just happens before she can say anything else I jump right to it. "How interesting if I didn't know any better but I think that dear old Gabriel is breaking a child labor law, I'm sure my mom and dad Lois Lane-Kent and Clark Kent would find this an awesome story." I pause for dramatic effect "so this is what's gonna happen Gabriel is going to reduce the photoshoots and whatever other things he has Adrien doing so he can have time to be a kid, if not I Marinette Martha Kent will reign down the power of the Kent family, and if that is ignored my best friend is Damian Wayne do with that what you will." She doesn't respond for a bit just stares at me, finally "I will inform Gabriel right away" "perfect" I state before saying goodbye to Alya and Adrien then heading home.

When I get home I head straight to my room to call Damian but I stop when I notice something on my desk, an octagon-shaped box with a weird symbol on it. I grab the box and open it. A blinding pink light comes flying out and circles me, startled I drop the box. Once the light dies down a flying bug mouse thing emerges. "My Name is Tikki the Kwami of creation, and I grant you the powers to turn into Ladybug, I was given to you because the butterfly miraculous was recently activated for evil and you need to get it back. Don't worry though you'll  have a partner!" Tikki states and when she finishes I can't help but think of how ironic it is I get away from all the heroes I know and become one in the process. 'This is how I can prove to my family that I can help people too!' I think 'but I'll need help' "alright I'll do it, but I want to recruit someone to help," I say without missing a beat. "No! No one must know about me!" "Too late I've already decided plus this isn't just anyone he's my best friend also he's the son of Batman he's trustworthy," I say back "but first imma need some more information on this miraculous stuff".
