Chapter 5: HawkMoth is who?

A/N- this takes place around the episodes 'Volpina' and  'The Collector' of miraculous ladybug

While walking to school today I ended up thinking about my new way of life. Life for me has come to a rhythm school, akumas, talking to Damian, and repeat. I don't mind this slow pace, I have plenty of time to work on tracking HawkMoth with the algorithm Damian set up for me. During my time I've also become better friends with Adrien, Alya, Nino, and Chloe. I know the rest of my classmates but haven't talked to them much outside of preventing their akumatization. Everyone here is generally pretty nice but a little naive. As Lady Beetle fighting akumas is a little difficult because chat noir doesn't really listen and the police are terrible at keeping people away from the fights, because of this I worked on an app to make sure people know where to go during fights. I did this with the help of a classmate of mine, Max. I also made sure to keep the justice league out of Paris which was pretty easy, all I had to do was point out how hard it would be to fight Superman or as I call him my dad if he was akumatized. The mayor after that quickly agreed to make sure no supers entered Paris.  Damian is still the only person who knows I'm Lady Beetle and Tikki has even grown to like him. There is one problem with everything this new girl Lila. I don't know if it's self-esteem issues or what but that girl can lie, and very poorly too. Finishing my thoughts as I enter the school I see a group of students surrounding something/someone, looking closer I see Lila in the center. "Of course I know Jagged Stone.....Clara Nightingale...Lois Lane-Kate...Damian Wayne..." I hear some very familiar names being dropped looking closer I see Alya and Adrien in the crowd not even trying to say anything about me being Lois Lanes' daughter. They just continue to listen, Alya recording not using any of her brains. Right as I'm about to storm over there Adrien sees me and runs over before pulling me off to the side. "Look I know what you are going to say but her lies aren't hurting anyone, so just let it go okay," he says looking deadly serious. I study him for a bit before responding "look she can lie all she wants but if she starts name-dropping my family or the Wayne's again I will do something got it" I state looking at him daring to fight back, surprisingly he does fight back. "Look I get that it's your family and the Wayne's but I don't see the problem just keep quiet and no one has to get hurt," he says still deadly serious. Shocked "are you threatening me!?!" I question not sure what to think "No I'm just saying," he says before walking away to whisper something in Lila's ear, she turns to me smiling sickeningly sweetly before turning ing away to continue her grand stories. I walk into class to see Nino sitting with Chloé looking over some homework assignments. They turn to me before raising their hands to wave, I wave back before sitting down and getting on my phone to tell Damian to look into Lila for me. After class during lunch, I see Lila and Adrien sneak off, my gut feeling telling me to find out what they are discussing I purposely run into Lila making of look like an accident, and slip a bug in her bag. "I'm so sorry Lila," I say in my sincerest voice with a sweet smile "it's alright..Marinette?" she pauses before saying my name almost like a question. "Yes, my name is Marinette," I say smiling before walking away to the courtyard away from view not giving her time to say anything else. As they continue walking the bug doesn't catch anything until they reach the library. At first, the conversation is nothing but small talk but eventually, they get to something interesting Lila mentions a hero named Volpina and the fox miraculous. 'How do they know about the Miraculous' now this is when Tikki becomes interested and volunteers to go and spy on them. She flys off and only 5 minutes later she comes in a slight panic. "They have the grimoire Marinette!" She exclaims almost worriedly. "The grimoire?" "Yes it holds a bunch of information about the Miraculous" "well get back there and make sure not to let the book out of your sight" she flies off as I continue to listen to the conversation that is going nowhere, all she is doing in going on and on about her being a descendant of a hero and knowing Lady Beetle. I lose interest pretty quickly when I suddenly get a message from Damian
