"Aack!" Swallowtail squirms as light pours into the cave and right on his face as he wakes up. "Too bright, too bright!" Morpho snorts and continues slicing the fish on the table. "Breakfast is almost ready, Swallowtail. You better be wide awake when I bring it to you." Swallowtail immediately sits up and wipes his eyes. The sun was still beaming onto him, but it wasn't right on his face. Swallowtail puts his arms towards Morpho and wiggles his hands, motioning to Morpho that he wants the fish now. Morpho rolls her eyes. "Fine, but stop acting like a dragonet." Morpho sighs. "I am a dragonet. I just went through my metamorphosis." Swallowtail grumbles, stuffing a fish into his mouth. Morpho gives him a rock hard look. "I know that, but since I have been training you extra, you should act like a full grown dragon now." Swallowtail sighs and picks up another fish, eyeing it carefully. "Is this a cod?" Swallowtail asks, picking at its bleeding gills. "I dunno. It is still a fish, so eat." Swallowtail didn't mind Morpho's sarcasm and attitude, but it bugged him that she expected him to act like an adult. "Shall we start practice?" Morpho interrupts Swallowtail's thoughts. Swallowtail looks at his empty food plate. "Fine." They walk deeper into the cave and enter a small room. "Swallowtail, Before we fight," Morpho looks Swallowtail straight in the eye. "Remember, you are never a dragonet when I am around. Understood?" Swallowtail's face falls and he nods. "Fight!" Swallowtail immediately runs to Morpho, charging at her and roaring with rage. Morpho starts using her flame silk, but makes sure not to injure Swallowtail too much. Swallowtail backs away, but still grits his teeth and roars. Remember, Swallowtail. You are never a dragonet when Morpho is around. Swallowtail jumps over Morpho as she blasts the silk. You're an adult, Swallowtail. A full grown dragon. Swallowtail yells loudly and stabs his claws into her back. Morpho Let's a roar like scream escape from her mouth. She stops the silk and grasps her back. "I'm sorry! Was that too much?" Swallowtail asks in fear. "Here's another thing you need to know. Never apologize for injury when you are training." Morpho gave Swallowtail a high five and laughed. Swallowtail smiled. "That was one of your best fights yet!" Morpho yelled, pumping her fists in the air. "I think I'll go write this fight down on a scroll to remember it!" Even though Swallowtail was proud of himself, he felt very guilty. I'm not a full grown dragon. I'm such and idiot. Why do I feel so guilty for hurting Morpho? He asked himself. She is my sister, but she told me no to worry. She seemed really hurt. Swallowtail looks at Morpho, who is scratching her bruised, bloody back while holding a feather coded in ink and writing on an old scroll. Swallowtail never really pays much attention to his shrimpy personality, he considered it more of a dragonet instinct. "Are you writing the date, too? February 25th, remember?" Swallowtail asks, peeking over Morpho's shoulder. "Yup. Why don't you practice your moves on the mossy cave wall outside? You can practice your clawing and flamesilk. Good luck." Swallowtail nods and runs outside the cave. The mossy wall had been a tradition for years in Swallowtail's family. Morpho would always say, "your grandfather practiced there, and your mother practiced there, and when the time came, I practiced there!" Swallowtail thought it was so amazing that the stained blood on the moss may have come from one of his ancestors a century ago. Sure, it was a creepy thought, but Swallowtail liked to bet on who's blood stain was who's with Morpho. There was also a claw stuck in the wall in the corner. Morpho said that was Swallowtail's grandmother, who had accidentally gotten her talon stuck in the wall. Swallowtail's mother used to tell Morpho and him everything until she passed. Swallowtail only got to hear a few stories from her, like how Swallowtail's great grandfather saved Swallowtail's mother when she slipped on the edge of the cave opening and plummeted to the ground, which is a long drop, but his grandfather used his last bit of strength to fly down and catch her. He got sick a few days later and passed away when Swallowtail's mother was just a dragonet. Thinking about the memories of his mother made Swallowtail she'd a tear, but he slowly snapped out of it and started punching the moss, hissing like a snake. Punch left, claw right, roar after biting...flamesilk. Swallowtail could never get the flamesilk to work. He had to push it out, which took too long, and sometimes it would come out in normal silk film. Swallowtail closed his eyes. Focus....focus....push it out... a few squirts of silk came out of his hands as he pushed harder. There you go....flame....silk....push!, Swallowtail, push! Swallowtail squinted and gritted his teeth. Suddenly, silk came bursting out of his palms, but not flamesilk. Swallowtail tried to control where he was spraying it, but it was too strong. "Morpho! I need you to help me!" Swallowtail sprayed the mossy wall, a couple of pebbles, the sky, the entrance to the cave, the moss on the stone floor, and a tree as he waited for Morpho. Finally, Morpho ran in with ink on her cheeks and paper stuck to her talons. "Swallowtail, stop pushing it out!" "I can't stop it! Aaah!" Swallowtail started spraying Morpho, his hands out of control. "Aack! Stop it! Turn to the right! Don't get me all messy!" Swallowtail had practically sprayed everything in sight until Morpho grabbed a thick leaf and dared to block the place the silk was coming from. "Hold still!" "I can't! Get some sap and glue them onto my hands!" "Are you crazy? The sap can't stop this waterfall!" "Silkfall, Morpho. Get it right." "SHUT UP!" Morpho's trick wasn't working, the leaf was drenched in silk and the waterfall-Er, silkfall wouldn't stop. After about twenty more minutes of screaming and arguing, the silk finally let out its last squirt before stopping completely. Swallowtail glanced at Morpho, who looked as white as snow by now, and had silk dripping from her hands and face. "I'm sorry! I really am!" Instead of yelling at Swallowtail for his irresponsibility, Morpho started laughing. "That would have been a great attack in the arena! Teach me how to do that sometime!" Swallowtail smiled and started laughing too.

Sounds like a pretty great start to the story, huh? Well that night was when it all went terribly wrong... TO BE CONTINUED...
