The missing.

Perilous Predicaments

They do as told and it is dead silent. I can feel myself shaking but I try not to focus on it. The one holding Caleb then says "Now a lot of you people here probably recognize these two from the news". "But the thing is what they are telling you is fake"."These two never went missing they ran away". "And it is our job to get them back to where they belong". While he is talking I see the person holding me discreetly take something out of his pocket and I see it is a syringe. I try to move but I can't. Until I bite down on his hand and he releases me. I then look at him and give him my death glare. 

I then watch as the man that was holding me looks at me and says "Bring it on little brat". I then charge at him and knock him to the ground. I then start punching him like crazy to the point that I make him bleed. Until I eventually knock him out cold. I then stand up and "Yell now does anyone else want to tick me off today!" I then look at the man holding my brother and his mouth is wide open I then say "What are you looking at jerk". I then say "Did your friends not tell you that I have a black belt in karate". He then says "Ok I'm putting the boy down". He then puts down Caleb and walks away slowly. I then walk closer to him which scares him and makes him run off the bus. I then look at Caleb and say "Let's blow this pop stand and we walk off the bus without anyone saying a word". After we get off the bus I realize that I and Caleb were going to have to change our appearances. We see a hair place and decide to get a cut. I end up getting mine cut shorter. 

Caleb gets his cut shorter too. We pay at the front desk and walk out of the hair salon. But as soon as we do I get a text. It says so how to do you like your faces on every tv in the state. I then say I told you that they wouldn't get us. It was about dinner time and we knew we had to find somewhere to stop and eat. And find a place to spend the night. We eventually decide to find a hotel and order room service because we have plenty of money. After looking at a few options on our phones, we decide to pick a Best Western to spend the night in. Luckily it is only about a 3-minute walk from where we currently were. We pay online and start walking. After a while we see the hotel come into view. The sun is setting and we have to hurry because nighttime is usually when the bad things in town start to happen. 

When we get to the hotel I and Caleb walk in and wait in line at the front desk. It is pretty busy which is never a good thing because anyone could recognize us and rat us out. Which I'm not sure if it would be a good or bad thing. While we are waiting I look up at the many TVs in the room. It is mainly all ads until a breaking news announcement comes on. On the headline, it says  Lininger kids found? Then the reporter comes on and says "Breaking news, earlier this evening an accident arose on a city bus." Nobody was harmed but many witnesses who were on that bus say that the two kids involved in this incident were the Missing Lininger kids, 10 year old Charlotte and 13 year old Caleb". "This footage was taken by one of those witnesses, we do advise caution some of these scenes are graphic". Then a video of the whole incident played and it made me feel like I was back on that bus. Everyone in the hotel was watching and some of them were even a bit shocked. Once the video was over the reporter came back on and said "The police are looking into the incident and still have not confirmed with reporters if those kids are the Lininger's". The broadcast then ended and people started talking about it all over the place.

When it was our turn we went to the front desk and Caleb checked in. But there was something about that woman that made me uncomfortable. I looked around and I'm glad I did because to my right there were two or three people standing right across from us at a distance. I could see that they were putting something into a phone but I couldn't tell what. Until I saw the flash. At that moment I looked back up at the desk lady and when I looked closer I could see that she had a detonator of some sort in her pocket. At that moment I saw her discreetly and slowly take out the detonator. I then whispered bomb. I then started saying "Caleb"and tapping him. But he wasn't listening. So without thinking, I came up beside him and yelled "Move!!!" and tackled  him to the ground. I then got up and sprinted over to the people with the bomb while everyone was running around in panic. I then barreled right into the one with the bomb, grabbed the phone and ran to the window while the other one was chasing me.

I then smash the window and I throw it as hard as I can at the same time the woman at the front desk pressed the detonator button. The phone then exploded with a boom. The explosion was so enormous that It sent me flying and landing on the ground with a crack. I hear Caleb scream "CHARLOTTE!!" I look at Caleb and can see that he is on the verge of tears. Before I pass out I see people calling the cops. And I hear Caleb sobbing and saying "Charlotte". And then everything goes black.
