It was September 1, 2009. A bright blue haired boy was about to start his first year at the magic school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He finished packing and started waiting for his godparents to wake James and Albus.
"Dad! Can you please hurry up!?" The boy yelled to his godfather, (whom he called "Harry" on some occasions but it rarely happened) who was upstairs with his god-sister Lily, who was only about a year old. She had the brightest (natural) red hair you've ever seen and beautiful green eyes, she looked a lot like her deceased grandmother, Lily, when she was two.
"Wait a second, Teddy, Ginny and I have to put Lily in her car seat!" Even though the family had magic and didn't need a car, Harry thought it would be fun to teach his wife, Ginny, how to drive. Harry, afterwards, thought it was definitely a good investment.
"Why can't we just apparate?" Teddy shouted
"It's bad for young children!" Yelled Ginny
"You apparated with James and Albus" Teddy pointed out. He wondered why they couldn't just apparate. They were already late, and he knew it did not affect young children, it was just a superstition. Ginny even said it was a superstition once.
"You see how they turned out?" Everyone in the house heard the shouts of complaint from the boys. James and Albus were Teddy's god-brothers, and annoying ones at that. Since James was easily bored, he would come into Teddy's room and wake him up, and not in the cute little kid way either. It was usually with water or eggs. James had dark black hair and hazel eyes, and just like Lily, James' namesake was his grandfather, James Potter. Albus, he preferred to be called "Al" but it was amusing to see his normally silent exterior loud, was less annoying than James. He was also mysterious and secretive. Albus was a carbon copy of his dad, black hair, green eyes, everything but the lightning scar Harry had on his forehead.
"Oi! Get over yourselves!" Teddy shouted to his god-brothers "And Mom, I'm late"
"Fine," Ginny gave in "People meet in kitchen!" Soon after that everyone was in the kitchen. Teddy, had his trunk and his pet owl, Lupe.
"Okay, Teddy, you go with Harry and Lily. Albus and James you're with me," Albus had an annoyed expression on his face since he was stuck with James.
Teddy put his hand on Harry shoulder, and soon felt the familiar feeling of being sucked through a tube. After a few seconds they Kings cross Station and the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. The train station itself was nothing special. Normal, muggle trains kept coming and going, and all the people running to get to their train on time. All completely oblivious to the magic hidden in there.
"Just run straight through that wall," Harry whispered in Teddy's ear "On the other side is Platform 9¾,"
"That's not bloody likely," Teddy whispered back to Harry. He got that they were wizards, but walking through walls? No way, especially with no training on how to do it.
"Do you want me to show you?"
"Yes" Teddy couldn't believe what he saw, Harry walked straight through the barrier, so he started to go too. He didn't run, because he didn't care if Harry did it running, if he hit someone on the other side, well, he just wanted to avoid that fiasco.
When he got to the other side of the barrier, he didn't run into anybody, thank merlin. He saw hundreds of kids trying to get on the train or saying "bye" to their parents, guardians, or family. The train was a beautiful scarlet color, a color that Teddy adored (besides blue, of course).
"Well, you're here," Ginny said motioning to the train. Tears started to fill her eyes "Oh, I'm going to miss you" Ginny squeezed him in a massive hug. Even if he wasn't really her son, she definitely treated him like he was. Eyes started to wander over and saw it was "the boy who lived" and his family, and whispers started to move over the crowd. Teddy started to fill with embarrassment and his hair started to turn a shade of bubblegum pink. You see, Teddy was a metamorphmagus, which he got from his mother. A metamorphmagus can change their appearance at will, but occasionally it goes with a color that matches how their feeling. Just like what's happening to Teddy right now.
