Gaara sat up, looking around at his surroundings. The last thing he remembers was falling into that plant and then blacking out. How was he still alive?

“I’m… in a cell,” Gaara mumbled, finally realizing he was in the cell of a ship. He gasped, standing up and going to the door of the cell, “Lee??”

“Sorry, Lee’s not available right now,” A voice said from somewhere in the room.

“Who are you? Where’s Lee?” Gaara asked, starting to get a little angry.

“So Lee was right, you are with the government. That little accent of yours gave you away,” The voice said, and soon a body that belonged to the voice would step out of the dark. It was a man, a little taller than Gaara, and he had long brown hair. From what Gaara could see, the man looked like he was blind, but then again, the room was only lit by a few candles, so he’d never know unless there was sunlight.

“So what? Yeah I’m with the government, but what’s it to you?” Gaara said, knowing the answer already. A lot of pirates hated Gaara, it’s nothing new. A lot of pirates hated the British Government more than Gaara, though.

“I’m thinking about holding you up for ransom, what do you think?” the man asked. Gaara couldn’t tell if he was being sarcastic or not.

“Why would you tell me your plans? Isn’t that kind of dumb?” Gaara asked.

“Well that’s not what Lee thought. He was the one who suggested the idea,” The man said, smirking just a little bit.

“Lee…?” Gaara muttered, staring at the man in disbelief.

“Yeah, you didn’t know? We’re on his ship the ‘Bourn Lotus’ right now. He’s the captain and he suggested we put you up for ransom so that he could gather more money. He’s thinking of settling down,” the man said, leaning against the cell and getting awfully close to Gaara. Gaara backed away and grimaced.

“I want to see Lee,” Gaara mumbled.

“You want to see him even after he said to put you up for ransom? That’s sweet, I’ll bring him down,” the man said, leaving.

Gaara sat down on the floor with his legs crossed, waiting for Lee to appear in front of the cell. That’s the only thing Gaara wanted to see right now. He closed his eyes so he couldn’t see anything else.

A few moments of silence, and footsteps came down the stairs at the end of the hall, but it was only one pair. Gaara opened his eyes to see what was going on.

“Sorry, he said he doesn’t want to see you right now,” The man said, stopping in front of the cell and crossing his arms.

“I refuse to believe he actually said that,” Gaara said, standing.

“Well he did, Gaara,” The man said, making Gaara’s name sound spaced out.

“I suppose Lee told you my name as well?” Gaara muttered, rolling his eyes.

“He did, actually, you know him better than he knows himself,” The man said, smirking slightly again.

“Just leave me be, okay? I honestly could care less if you put me up for ransom, but all I want is to see Lee,” Gaara said, sitting on the ground again.

“Well, if that’s all you want,” Neji said, rolling his eyes, “I’ll go… convince him.”

Neji left once again, leaving Gaara alone in the dark room. He closed his eyes again, not wanting to see anything else but Lee’s smiling face when he came into the room and stopped in front of his cell.
