It had been many moons since their adventures .Liam and Ava were back at school and Noah back at work. The huts they lived in, work they did was of an era long past. It was all part of the cycle of life, the one that happened naturally with nature's blessings. The elders had long ago realised that there was no land beyond earth that they could live in and so had reversed their unsustainable way of life; so the legend said. With it some science was lost but some magic was gained; said the history books. There were wild stories of times when men flew on iron birds. They bent these iron birds into shape using some other creatures still made out of iron. The legend went that these creature were as smart as the men who made them. There were people and machines everywhere, and the other creatures slowly started to vanish. The circle of life that all creatures knew started to change and kept on changing so rapidly that there were few who could adapt except man. The legends spoke of the seas rising with saltwater coming back into the land through the rivers, the crops failing, and the heat becoming unbearable. Previously lush lands became barren and barren lands changed into fertile ones. It was so hot was said that in the lands far south near the equator, only when it was dark was it possible to go outside. It was in this time that a female and a male, elders now had turned back time. It is said that it happened ever so slowly not in their lifetime or the next. But it was enough and earth had managed to heal itself.

Now back home after the lessons at school, Ava was thinking about her adventure and the old man. She had made good use of what he had said ever since their return. She had believed in more things and her path had been clearer when she did this.

There had gone on this adventure following in the footsteps of the "book without an end" a book that they read at school. They had been fortunate enough to meet Noah and the old man along the way.

Their parents had passed away a long time ago, victims of small pox. Rolling back time had had its consequences. Ava and Liam had coped with this in different ways. While Ava had kept her faith and trusted that everything was for a reason Liam tried to control the world around him to protect himself. Both had discovered something on the journey, but that something was not the same.

There was a knock on the door and Ava was glad to see that it was Noah. They had become good friends ever since their adventures, and met often. She was glad that they had met him he had been a good companion, guide and a friend just like in the book.

It was one of those cosy afternoons when it's raining. The rain sometimes made you realise the coziness that was there in a simple chat with a good friend, over a cup of tea.

"So how was school?"

"The same things everyday Noah" she complained. Is there anyway to escape from this boredom?" she asked playfully.

"We could go on another adventure, if you would like ".

Liam walked in as he said, "Not just yet, not just yet".

"Hello there, I was just about to bring up your work when you came in" Noah greeted him.

"How is your robot coming around?"

"What are you up to now Liam? Ava queried.

Oh it's nothing much I am trying to make a device with a system, where we can talk to people remotely. So it's technically not a robot Noah". Liam gave him a mean look.

"I have read in books that a long long time ago, people had devices they carried around so that they could communicate with each other."

"Sounds more like an alien story".

"Or one of those mythical stories they teach us at school".

With time, history becomes legend and legend becomes myth and then they finally become the truth" Liam recited a sentence from a book at school.
