Hi there!

My name is Dido (after the Carthargian Queen, not the singer, although both ladies are pretty cool) and I love OCs. In fact (and I probably shouldn't admit this) nearly every fanfic I've written over the past seventeen years has featured an OC as the main character. And yeah, I probably shouldn't admit that I've been writing fanfiction for 17 years, that's also kinda embarrassing. I feel like a dinosaur.

Well, either way, I don't know if that makes me overly qualified or maybe the opposite, but here are my rules and requirements.

1. Like all fanfic readers/writers, I have my preferred fandoms which are Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, the Hunger Games, Game of Thrones (are you sensing a pattern?) but I really don't want to restrict anyone to those few. Therefore, you can send me any OC you'd like me a look at, even an Original Universe OC. Please note, I might not be able to give you canon specific feedback but I think I'd certainly be able to tell you whether or not I think your OC is a believable character.

2. Please PM a biography of your OC. I leave it up to you to decide what details you'd like to include, but remember, the better idea you have of your character the more well-rounded and fleshed out your OC will undoubtedly be. I would also like you to include a snippet of your OC in action. Do you have a sample passage of them at their best OC selves? Yup. Send that to me as well. I'd love to see them strut their stuff!

3. Another thing to keep in mind, I've read a ton of fanfiction and participated in critique circles before, so I will be honest with you if I think your character is lacking. At the same time, I will always point out the positives and I'd be happy to discuss any of my comments on your work should any questions or concerns arise.

4. I will open three slots at a time. When I'm full, I'm full, though I do intend to have a decent turn around time. And the three slot rule is not to be mean, I just want to make sure each character gets my full attention.

5. Finally, here's the catch. I only ask that you drop by my story, I only have one, read a bit (there's no minimum, read however much you like) and just leave me your honest reaction. It could be a few words, more, less, whatever. That's all I ask.

See, that wasn't so bad! If you have any questions or concerns, send me a message! Thanks for stopping by, friends and happy writing!
