Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuckity Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Why am I so stupid? Who in their right mind would choose to go with their crush of forever when your a fucking nervous wreck. Apparently me.

"Keep up you fucking cunt," Katie yelled from the front, "I hate slow pokes."

"Sorry," I murmured, my head casted down.

"Don't be, Katie just likes to nick pick everything, don't take it to heart," a beautifully soft voice said, a shoulder nudging mine in reassurance.

I smiled up Jason, nearly getting lost in his enchanting blue eyes.

"Thanks," I whispered.

"No problem," Jason said matching his steps with mine.

We carried on like that in silence, the only noise the snapping of twigs under our feet. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence, but it was rather awkward, but that could just be me. As we walked between the standing green giants, I couldn't stop the feeling of being watched. It was unsettling to say the least, but I was the only one who noticed so I said nothing. I didn't want Jason to think I'm wierd or overly paranoid.

That was until I heard little scampering of small footsteps. A fox maybe? I shook my head, I'm probably imagining things.

After a few minutes I heard the noise again and having enough I asked cautiously, "does anyone hear that?"

"Hear what?" Katie snapped, "God I need a drink."

"Kate don't talk to Killian like that," Jason said firmly.

"Why, it doesn't matter, besides you don't control me," Katie responded.

"That's true, but it's wrong, so don't."

"Does this face look......"

There voices got quieter the further they went. In order to sate my burning curiosity, I decided to follow the tiny footsteps. A bush rustled a few feet away and I contemplated my options. Return to the group or take a look, I decided to take just a very quick peek.

Crouching down, I parted the branches before being knocked backwards onto the ground. Utterly confused, I looked down to see a fluffy ball of fur on my chest, its tiny claws wrapped around my necklace.

I sat there dumbfounded before two obsidian eyes looked at me. I jumped up, the thing tumbling to the floor. A sound resembling a muffled cry came from the horned animal. I crouched down again to get a better look. The thing looked like a koala or a baby sloth, the only difference was that it has shorter arms and legs and two small black horns protruding from its fluffy head.

It's two hands reached up towards the necklace hanging from my neck.

"You want this?" I asked, unsure about the answer I'll get.

There was a tug at the chain. Reaching behind my neck I unclasped it and let the creature pull it into its chest. What appeared to be a smile appeared on its face.

"Oh my god, you are so adorable," I squealed at the cute creature. I reached my arms out and the thing ran straight into them, one hand clutching my dirty shirt, the other holding tightly to the necklace. "Your sooooo fluffy," I said as it clung closer to me. Meanwhile I was wondering what to call it, something to match how fluffy it was. My face lit up when I thought of it, a floofall.

"There you are, we were wonder- what the fuck is that?" Katie exclaimed pointing at the horned ball of fluff.

"I have no idea, but it's soooooooooooo adorable, right," I said, unable to keep the grin from my face.

Jason reached out a hand, but the fluffball curled closer to me. Jason frowned, obviously disappointed about not being able to pet it.

"Okay, it kinda maybe is," Katie said, "come here little fella, come here," She said, directing her attention to the creature. "Come on, come here.........." She faltered and began screaming.

A gruesome six foot tall monster stood above Katie's trembling figure, claws extended, ready to attack. Twisted horns protruded from the matted fur of its head. It's small black eyes turned red with black slits. It stalked towards Katie.

Summoning all my courage possible, I slipped the silver ring I always wear off my finger.

"Hey, hey buddy, you like shiny things right," I said waving the ring around in the air, catching the light.

Next thing we knew, the little fluffball was back, necklace in one hand and the other reaching up for the ring. I crouched down and gave the ring to the creature who immediately took it and clung onto me. It admired the ring for a few moments before putting it on one of its horns.

"What the fuck just happened?" Katie asked, her breathing coming out rapid and harsh.

I shrugged and picked up the smiling floofall. I think I like that name, childish, but perfect for the creature, and cradled it in my arms. It snuggled closer.

"I would try to stroke it again, but I'd rather keep my arms," Jason said, "and my life for that matter."

I chuckled at Jason's grumpy face, he looked like an adorable puppy who wasn't allowed a treat.

I cleared my throat, "um maybe we should continue our search?"

"Yeah. Yeah, we should, but that thing, is not coming with us," Katie said.

"But...but. I don't wanna...." I stuttered.

"No buts. That thing is dangerous, am I the only one who's smart enough to realise that," Katie exclaimed,"it stays."

"No."

"What did you just say?"

"Kate, calm down, it seems fine with Killian so let's just leave it for now, okay," Jason said.

She signed, "fine, but if it starts causing havoc, don't blame me, got it."

I smiled and nodded, happy with the decision at hand and the little ball of fluff clapped it's hands, the necklace jingling with the motion.

With that, we began heading to a clearing where Jason believed to hold some edible berries and mushrooms.

Once we got there and began picking the fruit Jason pointed out, we heard a bone chilling scream echo through the trees. Exchanging looks of fear, we began running to where we thought it was coming from, the jungle.
