6 - Comfort

The school day continued as usual, Dream was back to his, sort of normal self, whenever he wanted his down time, he would leave class, Maya followed him, but there's nothing he could do, Maya always seemed to wrap him round her little finger, this infuriated George, He hated seeing Dream with Maya, knowing what Dream must be going through,

It was currently the class before lunch, Computer class, Dream always loved computer science, he behaved in that class, the teacher never liked him though, would always pick on him, In computer class Dream was sat next to Bad, who was also a computer genius, dream was working at his usual pace,however dream for distracted and looked outside for a minute,  but his teacher was in a bad mood, so you can guess how that went

"Matthews! Out!" His teacher said pointing to the door, Dream not being in the right headspace to argue just walked out bringing his bag with him, he stormed into the corridor propping himself up against the wall when george walked round the corner, George was more or less used to the school, he was able to leave classes a few minutes before they finished, George wasnt watching where he was going and bumped into Dream, Dream wasn't looking at who it was so he immediately yelled

"watch where your going can't you see i'm stood right here, fucking idiot! Next time watch where your going, Freak!" dream spat while raising his fist, George looked up in fear, flinching as he saw dreams fist, he backed away, shocked, "G-George.." Dream knew exactly what he did, and he regretted it. dream stumbled backwards against the wall, before running off to the bathroom,

George watched in horror as his close, friend? scurried to the bathroom out of panic, George followed walking into the bathroom, Dream was sat against the wall, his hands gripping his hair,

Dream knew what he did, it reminded him of his dad when he was younger he would do the same thing to him,

George approached Dream slowly, trying not to disturb his already upset state, He crouched down into front of dream, He choked out a sob, and George could see him shaking, he had never seen dream like this; he had seen him quiet, but never seen him this.. Vulnerable

"Hey.." George spoke softly, but at the moment anything could spook dream, so dream seemed to jump at the words as if it scared him, Dream lifted his head up to look at george, His face with tear stains down them, bags under his eyes, and his smile wasn't there, his eyes were glossed over with tears,

"Just breathe, i'll breathe with you okay," George said calmly, Dream just nodded and tried to follow Georges breathing patterns, George was patient, and Dream liked that,  he appreciated that, something was different about george, Dream admired him, he would catch himself looking at george but would look away when one of his friends gave him the smirk and eyebrow raise,

After a while dreams breathing settled, He managed to speak without his voice shaking, so he took a deep breathe before he spoke

"George. i'm, im so sorry, i didn't mean for" Dream said but was cut off by george,

"Dream listen, i know i know," George said pulling dream up off the floor, George just wrapped the taller boy into a hug with a tight grip onto him, it took Dream a few seconds to process but he hugged back cautiously before resting his head in George's head

"i'm sorry..." Dream mumbled into George's hair,

"Dream, i've already said you don't need to apologise," George said into dreams chest,

The bell then rang signalling it was Lunch, The two boys separated, before walking out the bathroom and into the Lunch room together, when they sat down together, they got a look from Sapnap, Dream rolled his eyes before talking

"what?"

"Oh nothing" Sapnap said looking at Dream and george, before laughing, Everyone had arrived at the table and everyone got out their lunch, everyone but dream, George looked at him,

"Dream you need to eat something" George said trying to convince The taller boy,

Dream just shook his head "m not hungry" he mumbled, George fully turned to look at him

"come on dream, just something, ple-" He was cut off by Maya walking over

"Dreamie!" she said sitting next to him shoving george off the chair next to dream, George hit the floor with a thud, Tubbo rushed over to George

"George! you okay?!" He said panicked

"I'm fine Tubbo don't worry," George said getting up and moving to another seat,

"Dream your not eating," she said surprised,
"Shocker your not the thinnest" she then mumbled, Sapnap and dream heard however, Dream just looked down and sapnap slammed his fist on the table,

"Leave Maya." He said standing up, Maya giggled before planting a kiss on Dreams lips, it angered george, Maya walked away,

"Dream, today after school, all of us, Beach night, or afternoon" Sapnap said, almost demanding,

"What about-" Dream started

"No. no maya, just us boys, like the times we did when we were younger, but we bring George" Sapnap said smiling at george, Dream just nodded, George got up to sit next to dream again, there was a lot of tension in the table, but it vanished quickly after tommy said some dumb joke like he usually does,

"So wilbur, Yesterday i spoke to a woman, yeah? And we all know your British, born and raised, well until now, and when i told her you were British she just seemed to like you more, So i found you a woman, But, bad news shes American," Tommy said calmly, which lead to most of the people Laughing on the table, Dream smiled slightly, before he began to speak

"that reminds me of the time you met Alyssa, you were so scared of her, you just glared at her and ran away" Dream said chuckling

"I WAS NOT SCARED OF HER!" tommy yelled

"That's the biggest lie ever tommy, You just ran," tubbo said,

"I will fucking stab you all!" Tommy said crossing his arms,

"So george, what about you and girls?" Sapnap asked after they had all calmed down,

"Oh, uh, i mean, i'm not really into girls..." He mumbled,

"Oh really? shit i'm sorry" sapnap said,

"no no it's fine, i don't talk about it, but yeah i'm gay," George said slightly confident, Dream smiled at him in a comforting way,

When the bell rang for next lesson everyone got up, and walked away to their lessons,

the rest of the day went by the same speed as usual, slow, painfully slow, When it got to the end of the day, Dream waited outside before Maya walked up to him linking arms with him, Before leaning up to him to kiss him, Dream however backed away,

Maya took notice of this, and Yelled at him, Dream flinched back, scared.

Just in time Everyone came rushing out, Sapnap and tommy stood in front of dream, and gave Maya the dead eye, they cleared their throat and Maya took the hint and left,

"You okay?" Wilbur asked dream and he nodded, "you need to break things with her," He suggested

"i- i cant, she knows too much, and so will the school." dream breathed

"Hey, listen if she does, remember you have us, right?" George said and everyone nodded, but dream still knew he couldn't,

"Now come on let's go to the beach!" Tommy said, "Wait wilbur can i get a vlog gun!" Tommy asked excited, Tommy had started a youtube channel a few months ago, as well as streaming, and it seemed to have blown up, Tubbo as well,

"Sure but i swear to fucking god you shoot me with it i will destroy it" Wilbur said, Tommy gulped and nodded, as they all headed off to their houses to change,

Dream couldn't get it off his mind how supportive George was, even when he shouted at him, He let a sigh of relief as well as mumbling to him self
