“I am telling you will not regret this” said my friend Aria as she dragged me into the party. I cannot say I came here by choice. Because I did not my close friend Aria dragged me here she said I would enjoy it but I do not think I would. I am not going to lie I am the most awkward person you will ever met on this planet. But around my close friends and family I am the loudest person ever. I just hate going to places with strangers and having to socialize with them.

“Okay, I came. Now look at the time I should start heading home!” I said while turning around and I feel Aria just grab me and open the door to the house.

“Aria!” some girl came up to her and they started small talk.

“I’ll be right back Haya. Go get a soda or something” said Aria.

I walk into the kitchen as soon as I grab a coke someone somebody starts talking and instantly everyone stops talking to listen up to what the girl had to say.

“Okay, you either have to be dancing, playing spin the bottle or socializing with someone. Anyone alone and not talking will be thrown in the pool! NOW MAKE FRIENDS!” said the pretty girl.

I started freaking out. I started walking backwards and spilled my drink oh god. I instantly grabbed tissues and started to clean the coke of the floor.

“Hey I’m Kyle let me help you with that” some boy said and bent over and started to help me. I just said a quite thank you while I smiled at him and kept cleaning. Kyle gets a phone call and has to take it but before he answers it he shouts out to some guy.

“Yo Keats can you come help this person out I can’t I got a phone call. I think I go to go pick up my mom. I’ll be back in thirty” he shouted.

“Yeah, sure!” the other guy shouted out. Next thing I know I see a really hot guy standing in front of me. I guess he was not expecting a girl because he started to blush. He then bent over and took some napkins and helped finish up cleaning.

“Uh…Thanks” I said all awkward. I wish I was not so awkward around boys. The maybe I can manage getting a first date.

He put his hand behind his head. “No..probl…em” he said equally as awkward.

I turned to walk away. Then I hear footsteps behind me.

“Um, I do not know how to put this. But can we talk since neither of us are thrown in the pool…” he said while pointing at the pool through the window.

I shook my head eagerly. No way was I to be thrown in the pool.

We decide to sit on a couch and were having small talk. Next thing I know some guy behind the couch comes and sits in between Keaton and I. While another guy sat besides the other side of Keaton.

“Hey I’m Wesley Keatons brother and that’s my friend Drew” he said point to the other guy sitting next to Keaton.

“So Keaton I see you are actually talking to a girl. Chooooow. What’s you name beautiful?” Drew said to me.

I instantly looked into my lap and said Haya so quietly is almost came out as a whisper.

“Aw Keaton she is equally as shy and awkward as you. No wonder you decided to talk to her.” Wesley said giving his little brother a nudge while wiggling his eyes brows.

“Guys-“ Keaton began but got cut off.

“DUDE I never heard your name before it’s so awesome. Can we switch names? I’ll be Haya and you can be Drew.” He said sounding so serious.

I started to laugh. Hey I like them.

“You know something about you must really attract Keaton. Cause he always gets the ladies but never cares to talk to them.” Said Wesley.

“Okay guys, enough.” Keaton finally spoke and stood up.

He walked to my side of the couch and stuck out his hand for me to take. I took while blushing. And Keaton started walking toward the backyard.

“OOH DAM KEATON IS GOING TO GET SOME GO ON MY BOY” I heard Drew shout.

“Dude, don’t kill his chances he finally is interested in a girl!” I heard Wesley shout at him with a thud noise.

“Ouch!” I heard Drew. And that was the last thing I heard before we walked out of hearing range.

“Sorry about them. They can sure be a pain.” He said. I just laughed.

“I actually like them” I said while smiling and looked down to still see our hands were still intertwined.

Next thing I heard is my phone ring. So I let go of Keaton’s hand. And take out my phone and see Aria calling.

“Hello?” I said.

“Where are ya I can’t find you let’s go home I’ll be out front waiting.” She said.

“Okay, I’ll be right out. Bye.” I said while hanging up the phone.  

Perfect timing Aria. NOT.

“Sorry I got to go.” I said telling Keaton.

“Awww man. Well uh..do you mind if I have your number and maybe deicide to go out for ice cream or something?” he said so awkwardly awwh it is so cute.

“Sure” I said smiling while blushing we then exchanged numbers.

“Bye” I said starting to walk away.

“Wait” I heard him say. I turn around and he kissed me cheek. I started smiling like an idiot.’

I then lean in to go kiss his cheek as well but he then turns his head and my lips land on his. It was just peck but it sent my heart going crazy.

He just smiling while looking away.

“Bye” he said.

“Bye” I said and started to walk away.

While I was walking all I hear in a bush was.

“I told your brother isn’t that awkward give me twenty bucks punk” I hear Drew say to Wesley.

I am actually glad Aria brought me to this party.
