Today was the first mission Ava was allowed on.
"You got this Ava," Diego was saying on the car ride there
"If you need help just say so," Luther says
"Yeah," all the older kids say
"Ok," Ava says
When they got to the mission every one started fighting as Ben started using his powers but then one of the guys shot him. (I know we don't know how Ben exactly died so just go with it)
"Bennnnn," Klaus yells and rushes to his side
"Ava go take on these guys and Five teleport Ben back home to mom," Luther says
"No way is Ava taking on two guys at once," Diego says
"Fine then she will teleport Ben back," Luther says
"Ok," Ava says
She picked up Ben and teleported home.
"MOMMY!!!!" Ava yells
"Yes darling?" Grace asks
"Ben got shot can you help him?" Ava asks
"Oh honey he has already passed away you waited to long," She says
"Nooooo," Ava says with tears
Ava has always been close with Ben.
Then the others get home.
"How is he?" Luther asks
"He is dead," Ava says
"Really?" Klaus asks
Ava nodded her head yes.
"Children I am very disappointed in you," Reginald yells before going into his office and closing the door.

A couple days later—

The Hargreeves were out in the snowy courtyard for there dear brother Ben's funeral.
"You're father is ready to give a eulogy children," Pogo says
"The world is full of injustice, good people die along with the bad, this cosmic equation will never change unless evil itself is wiped from existence, powerful force is pushing back against the wicked and iniquitous, individuals who have the strength to pull together against insurmountable odds to face adversity with inblinkable amount of courage and not to hesitate to sacrifice themselves for another, unfortunately none of you are such people, despite years of training, and weeks of preparation, you allowed number six to die on this mission," Reginald says
"It wasn't are fault," Alison says as Luther comforts her
"Excuses? I will not here them, the umbrella academy has failed one of there own, the consequences of which are dier, hold on to this feeling children, let it fester in your heart's, so there is never a next time," Reginald says
At that point all the kids were crying.
"Training will be canceled today out of respect of your brother, we resume tomorrow at 6am," Reginald says before walking back into the house.
"It wasn't anybody's fault," Vayna speaks up
"How would you know Vayna you weren't even on the mission," Diego retorted
Vayna looks at her siblings and goes back inside. Diego just roles his eyes at her.
"Nice going Asshole," Luther says to Diego
"What! we were all thinking it," Diego says
"What so your thinking Diego that's a first," Alison says
"Screw you!" Diego says
"Hey dad was right we should have done more this didn't have to happen," Luther says as him Alison, and Diego go back into the house
Which leaves Klaus and Ava still out there.
"Hey Ava you cold?" Klaus asks
"Mhm," Ava says shivering
"Ok then let's go inside," Klaus says
"No can please try to congure Ben I need to say I am sorry," Ava says
"Ok I will try," Klaus says
They go under the gazebo that was in the courtyard. Klaus starts doing his thing.
"Klaus Ava?!?" A voice from behind them asks
They turn around.
"Where am I?" Ben asks
"Your back in the land of the living, It's been a total shit show since you died families a mess," Klaus says drinking out of his flask
"Listen um I need to go back," Ben says
"What no why? you just got here," Klaus says
"I know there is a light and they told me to walk into it," Ben says
"Please no Ben it's my fault that you died we can't lose you again," Ava says
"Woah Ava it's not your fault it was my time to go," Ben says
"About the light, don't worry about it, you can go whenever you want," Klaus says
"Are you sure?" Ben asks
"Yeah I am a thousand percent, trust me benerino it's not going anywhere, I am the expert on the dead remember? Hey wanna have a snowball fight with me and Ava?" Klaus asks
"Yeah sure," Ben says with a smile on his face
"Speaking of Ava, can you see Ben?" Klaus asks
"Yea," Ava says
"Noice," Klaus says
Just then Ben there a snow ball right into Ava's face.
"Owe," Ava says
"Oh my gosh Ava are you ok?" Ben asks
"Oh yeah," Ava says throwing a snowball straight at Ben's face
"Hey turn it down with the super strength!!" Ben says
"It won't hurt cause you are already dead," Klaus says while throwing a snowball at Ben
They start playing in the snow.
