Once upon a time, when the world was still bright. There were 9 planets, all nine planets we know by name today. And on each planet lived their own guardian.
On Mercury lived a little girl with a teddy bear made of cotton.
On Venus lived a man with a vintage telescope.
On Earth lived a husband and his beautiful wife.
On Mars lived a little boy with red hair like no other.
On Jupiter lived the man who made sculptures.
On Saturn lived an old women with her many pets.
On Uranus lived a women with a box of wishes.
On Neptune lived a man who owned birds.
And finally on Pluto was a little girl with blue hair.
One day, the little boy on Mars was playing bear the small craters on his planet. Then saw the husband and wife on Earth holding hands. He looked to his neighbor, the man who made sculptures and asked:
"What does it mean when you hold someones hand?"
The man answered:
"It means that you care for that person."
The boy asked again:
"Well then why do you make sculptures?"
The man answered:
"Because it's what I love."
The boy turned to the couple and asked:
"Why do you care for each other?"
The wife said:
"Because we love each other, dear."
The boy looked confused. He didnt understand what they all meant by love. The things they love, the people they loved? What's so special about love?
What is love?
One day, the man who owned a large flock of birds came flying his way past the little boy on Mars.
The boy looked at the man curiously and asked:
"Why do you fly when you can just walk?"
The man answered:
"Because I love being in the air"
The boy then saw the old women walking on her planet with her many pets.
He asked:
"Why do you have so many pets? Is one not enough?"
She answered:
"It is because I love taking care of my family. Whether cats or mice"
The boy thought about it again. And after he thought hard about what the word love meant, he found that the little girl from Mercury came to play with him today.
They played for hours and hours, and when they finally finished, he saw her hug her teddy bear tight. She looked far too happy to him, and over a teddy bear made of cotton?
He asked:
"Why do you hug the stuffed toy like that?"
She answered:
"Because I love my mama, and my mama gave me teddy. So I love teddy"
A few more days past and then one day, the boy with red hair was sitting on his planet with the man who had a telescope from Venus. He watched as the man looked through his telescope curiously.
He boy noticed that when the man looked through the pipe shaped object, he looked his happiest and smiled so bright that the sun couldnt even compare.
The boy asked:
"Why do you look through that thing? What does it show you that's so amazing?"
The man smiled kindly and answered:
"Its because I love seeing the parts of the world that my eyes cant reach. Here, let me show you."
The man gave the telescope to the boy and showed him how to look through it. The boy tried it and saw the most beautiful thing he had ever. A small blue planet with a girl who had blue hair, he'd never met her before so this was new.
The boy smiled, wondering what this feeling was in his chest. He looked to the man quickly and asked:
"What is the name of the planet I've never met?"
The man chuckled and answered:
"That's not a planet. But its name is Pluto"
The boy sat there, still able to see the tiny dot that was Pluto, but not able to see the girl.
Days passed by and then one day, the women with the box of wishes came to visit the boy on Mars.
She asked him:
"What's wrong?"
He answered:
"I wanted to know why you carry that box with you"
She answered:
"Because its important to me"
He asked again:
"Do you love it then?"
She chuckled and answered:
"I do not love the box, but I love granting wishes"
The boy stared at the box sadly.
She asked again:
"Why do you look so down?"
He answered:
"Everyone has someone or something to love and yet I have nothing."
The women then smiled, opening her box, looking to see if she had a wish for him.
She asked kindly:
"What is it that you wish for, boy?"
He looked to her hopefully:
"I wish I had something or someone to love too"
The women picked up a ball of light that suddenly appeared in her box. Then gave it to him.
She said:
"You are not the only one who wants to be loved. So love this girl with all your heart and you will have someone to love too."
The women then walked away and left Mars. The boy looked into the ball and saw the girl on Pluto. He smiled, feeling warm and happy. She smiled happily too and they talked for a while.
A couple of days later, the boy with the ball of light was sitting, staring at it. Everyone from Mercury to Uranus came to Mars and asked him:
"Why do you look at the ball of light with such a face?"
The boy answered:
"Because when I look into this ball of light, I'm able to see the person I love and who loves me just as much."

So it's my first time writing stuff like this. And because of that I'm starting off with some short stories first.
