"Sophie! I need help with my hair!" I hear Amara, a fellow dance crew member yell from her seat.
"I'll be there in a second!" I say while finishing my make up and scanning my dance costume, I am wearing black ripped jeans with a white long-sleeved crop top, a red flannel hanging from my waist, a black cap and white Adidas shoes. Opting for a natural makeup look I finish with a brown matte lipstick.
It is now assembly day and the pressure is on. When Emma and I exposed our general idea to the sports committee they were all onboard with our idea also meaning that the plan between Xavier and I is now in motion, so now not only did we have to ace the introduction assembly dance and half time dance and on Xavier behalf his football game too but also make sure that E and Lucas spend the most time possible together.
Emma and I created two very upbeat choreographies which we hope everyone enjoys, it took a lot of effort and time to get it together and then teach it. Since the principal asked us for it to be a surprise no one but the team has really seen them so all the other sport teams are a bit curious to see the outcome of our private rehearsals. The only thing we didn't get time to practice because of the hectic schedules was the pairing of each football member but fortunately we all knew who we had to escort so I hope that goes on without any problems.
It has also been two weeks since the date and Xavier and I have gotten closer as friends, both E and I sit now with them at the cafeteria and talk to each other in the classes we share, recently I have made the discovery that through Zac's tough exterior he is definitely a softie inside, not that he will ever admit it but hey, it's not up to him to admit, it is what it is, whether he likes to admit it to himself or not.
Moving my way to Amara I gasp at her problem, her curly her is now very, VERY tangled. She whimpers as she sees me through the mirror, I got to admit I have always envied her volumed hair but now was not the time for it to act up. We were scheduled to go on in 10 minutes!
Quickly getting to work I make sure to not pull her hair and cause her any pain while untangling but I know I need help if we want to get out in time.
"E! I need help! I'm over by Amara!" I yell in the locker room and seconds after I see Emma running towards me. She sees what I'm struggling with and helps me so that we are now responsible for half and half, we get a move on and after roughly 8 minutes we finish completely. Amara squeals giving both of us a hug and moves to find the rest of the girls.
"You look great S! Smoking hot!" She compliments, sending me a wink causing me to laugh at her.
"You too hun! Lucas will worship the ground you walk in!" I say teasing her back and hugging her tightly before she has the opportunity to do anything to me.
