I'm so excited to be writing my first book on WATTPAD. I just want to say, @Grace44 had been a big help to the writing of this book! Here goes!
"Cover me."
A dark shadowy figure raced down the long corridor in the Noire Mort underground labyrinth. Her name was Meredith Waters. She had dark brown hair, which reached her mid-stomach in length, ice blue eyes, and long black eyelashes.
"Meredith, slow the hell down. You are going to get caught. Remember last time we tried to catch this particular duo?'' Madelyn heaved.
Madelyn was Meredith's best friend. She was tall and whippet thin, with black hair down to her mid back, vibrant with royal purple streaks. She had big brown doe eyes and was utterly obsesed with purple and black in combination.
Meredith rolled her big eyes, ''How could i forget?''
The beginning notes of Maroon 5's song Animals played on Madelyn's black iPhone 5.
"Its my mom.''
''Ignore it, stupid.''
''I can't!"
Meredith reached for Madelyn's phone and snatched it out of her hand, thus ignoring the call.
''What the hell? Do you want me to get grounded, i mea-''
''Shut up. They are going to hear us.''
''It wasn't even that loud!''
Meredith snickered, ''I think they'd hear something as awful sounding as that song. Ech!''
''Hey, I don't judge your, 'Blue jeans, white shirt' Ug, that is a bad song.''
Meredith heaved a breath of annoyance as they walked up on a two-way hallway.
''How about you go one way, I go the other?''
"Yurps.'' Madelyn whispered, ''Keep your weapon close. You will get your ass whooped without it.''
Meredith nodded as she walked down the hallway.
Old leaves rustled and crunched under her footsteps. Cool air was slightly wafting the scent of old mildewy plants and other sorts of decay.
Long ago, when the town of Bois Sombres was founded, many disappearences were happening, so the founders built a labyrinth. Underground. Needless to say, as soon as the hunters got wind of the town of Bois Sombres being a vampire's playland, they all migrated towards the small town. For a while the vampires, had backed down. Literally down. They all took refuge in the labyrith. Nowadays, nobody would come down here.
''Stupid vampires! Why are you always hiding?'' Meredith growled.
"Not always hiding, little hunter."
Meredith turned around to see a beautiful man in front of her.
He stood easily a foot-and-a-half taller than her, with sandy brown hair and lightly sun-kissed skin. His piercing hazelnut eyes made Meredith's breath hitch in her throat, trying to push its way through, but she held it back. She couldn't show her weakness, especially to him. But to her dismay, she was still staring.
"Are you going to stand there, or are you going to do something?" a female's voice purred behind him.
''Wait dear Kendalle,'' he said touching her cheek. Then he turned to Meredith, ''Make the first move, hunter. I'd love to see how naive you are.''
''Say I did make the first move, and it was a blow to the throat. How would you react to that?'' Meredith spat, she surprised herself with how much venom she had just packed into her voice.
He instantly was pressing his body to Meredith's, and shoving her against the uneven rocky wall. She felt his well-sculpted chest through his black leather jacket.
"Well,'' he whispered, ''First, I'd take your wrist, snap it, then we would get to the fun of torture. Long and slow process, first to go would be your eyes. Then your tongue, one by one, all of your fingers. Then i will reach into your chest cavity and pull your hear out. I definately would not punch my throat.''
He pulled away quicker than he had come on to her, thus leaving her stunned.
She had never acted like this before in front of a vampire.
Finally she got her mind together, and pulled out her dagger. It was pure silver, with a beam of sharpened wood going through the center. She ran towards the male vampire and caught his arm with the blade.
''Pray your God, hunter.'' he seethed coming towards her.
Meredith slammed her hand into her backpack, and pulled out a bottle of body spray.
"Pray your God, vampire!" she yelled and sprayed it on him, ''Vervain water, bitch.''
Meredith ran down the many corridors, eventually getting lost.
She needed to call Madelyn. But no sooner she realized that she still had Madelyn's phone, further ruining the chances of her escaping.
She stood there, still breathless from running.
"I don't think I introduced myself. I'm Jordan."
Meredith tuned around and scowled at the male vampire.
"You have a goddamn death wish, little hunter."
"You wish.'' Meredith snorted
Jordan held up a knife,''Too bad you dropped this, though. Probably could've killed me."
Before she could blink her head slammed the ground, and found Jordan straddling her stomach, holding the dagger to her throat. He brought it down in one fast motion, almost killing her, had she not caught his hand. Jordan kept pushing, and Meredith was slowly breaking. His strength was pretty much unbearable.
Meredith let out a cry as the knife swiped the side of her cheek, instantly causing blood to river down her cheek.
"You're a pretty thing. Too bad I have to kill you."
Meredith knew this was it. She took a deep breath, she was okay with this.
All of a sudden she felt like something had literally thrown her into the air, but she knew she wasn't airborn when she felt her head swing backwards, and someting or someone was holding her. She was unconcious, but aware.
She felt fresh air and knew she was outside. Her head touched the dewy grass, her bare neck was instantly exposed to the cold wetness, and her eyes flew open. Nobody was there except for an unconcious Madelyn.
Whatever just happened was amazing, and lifesaving, no doubt.
Then she saw a man by a tall evergreen tree. She could only make out black hair, and a beautifully shaped body. Then he was gone.
