I'm 17 years old, and I live in a small town in North Carolina, called Bois Sombres, which in French means Darkened Woods.You could say I'm pretty normal. That isn't the case. You see, most girls my age are interested in shopping at Gucci, Prada, Charlotte Russe, things like that, but me? No way in Hell. I hunt vampires. And it's good too, because this town didn't get its name for nothing. Supernatural beings have resided here since 1793. And hunting them have been in my family since The Salem Witch Trials. I've hated vampires since my father was killed by one, every single one I come into contact with dies before they blink eyes. At least, that's how it was before I met the kind-hearted, brilliantly gorgeous Ashton, and his dangerously handsome and lethal brother, Jordan. I used to hate vampires, but now I'm not so sure.

Julia Sol is the kingdom of Alouette's heir. Shes 17 and currently unfit to rule because of her age. She's invited to a ball in the kingdom of Rossignol to celebrate Samuel Lune's coming of age. Samuel Lune is Rossignol's heir. He just recently reached age 18, and is now fit to be king. Julia is expected to marry Samuel, but she happens to have her eyes on someone else. The words stung her, but it didn't matter. She'd already fallen for him but it was whatever. He didn't like her back.
