Chapter 01 - A Shocking Revelation (Pt 2)

Heading down the path to Ponyville, I was accompanied by Applejack, one of the residents of Sweet Apple Acres---an apple orchard---and by somepony new---my fiancé from Ethea, Ludger Will Kresnik.

Ludger hadn't disappeared after sacrificing himself to the Chromatus Curse in order to save a little girl's life and pass Origin's Trial by making the correct wish of destroying all fractured dimensions---a world that was similar to his own with a major or minor different, whether it be an object or a person.

I was really glad that he didn't vanish or become a spirit. I glanced at him to find the now earth pony looking around.

He had gradually gotten the hang of walking on four legs. Judging by how tall he was, he was a full-grown stallion---almost the same age as Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle's older brother. His fur was a cobalt blue with a white messy mane that still had his trademark of black dyed bangs. He still had the same gentle teal green eyes.

Even as a pony, I couldn't take my eyes off him, meaning, even now, I was still in love with him. And by the response he gave me when I finally figured out who he was, he probably felt the same still, even after floating in darkness for a year and a couple of months. I felt a small smile grow on my face with a faint blush, really happy to have him back in my life.

"Akari?" Ludger's voice brought me out of my thoughts.

Shaking my head, I looked at him properly, the stallion staring at me with worry and confusion. I blinked a couple of times, giving a quick smile. "Yeah, what's up?" I asked.

"Are ya'll alright there, sugarcube?" Applejack spoke up from my other side.

I looked over to her and smiled more genuinely. "Yes, I am. The pain is finally gone. All I feel is a bruised sensation. Don't worry, I've been through worse." I then looked back at Ludger. "Also, I'm just really glad to have the person I love back."

Ludger gave me a warm smile.

Applejack was confused. "'Person'?" She questioned, leaning forward to see Ludger staring back at her. "What do you mean by that?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

I looked back at her, continuing our journey back to the farm. "Ludger isn't a pony. He's an entirely different being from another world in the Other Sky. I used to travel with him in his world and we've had our fair share of hardships and battles against powerful beings."

"Okay then. If he comes from another world, why is he here and not in his?" Applejack asked which made me wince and made my smile fade.

"He..." Stopping in my step, I looked down at the ground underneath my hooves, remembering the last time I ever saw him before now---his face drowning in the Chromatus Curse and then seeing him shatter like glass as all the fractured dimensions were destroyed. I felt a hoof on my shoulder, looking up to find Ludger staring at me with guilt, staying by my side instead of continuing to walk.

The stallion then looked at Applejack, keeping his hoof on my shoulder as comfort. "I sacrificed myself to save my world and to protect Akari from my father's grasp."

Applejack's green eyes widened in shock. "Oh... Ah... Ah didn't know."

Ludger shook his head. "It's alright. I'm just glad that I didn't disappear, and I wasn't alone in this world. If I were, I'd probably be killed a second time before I could figure out how this was possible." He then looked at me. "Besides, as Akari said, I'm really glad to be back with the person I love."

I lifted my head and smiled, staring at him with adoration.

"Ah can see that you two love each other very much."
