Chapter 01 - A Shocking Revelation (Pt 4)

I was having such a wonderful dream---a field of flowers and I was seated among the flora, having a moment of peace and solitude---when I was suddenly pitched forward, startling me awake. "Woah!" I was about to flail my limbs in panic, but someone caught me around the waist and pulled me back to sit down. I let out a sigh of relief, knowing exactly who it was that saved me. I turned my head to thank Ludger, only to find that our faces were inches apart from nearly having a kiss.

Both of our faces glowed red, staring into each other's eyes. We weren't aware of our surroundings anymore as we inched closer.

I had yearned for so long to feel his lips on mine again after he vanished. I just wanted one to satisfy me... just one...

"Hey, lovebirds!" Sora's voice broke the spell. "We have to get off before the train takes us away!"

Ludger and I pulled back, surprised, looking outside the window to find the wondrous city of Canterlot.

"Oh... we've arrived." I gave a shaky laugh as I untangled myself from the stallion, who was as red as a tomato. "We need to find a room, as ponies would say. Come on." I slipped off the seat and made my way towards the exit, Ludger following me, hearing the sound of his hooves clomping on the wooden floor.

We climbed out of the train and entered the high society city of Canterlot, seeing all the nobles and middle class roaming around the city, their heads and noses pointed up to the sky.

As we made our way to Canterlot Castle, a couple of Rarity's friends and several nobles bowed towards Twilight, welcoming the young princess.

Ludger must have noticed, "Why did they bow to Twilight?"

I smiled, pausing in my walking, "Time to a history lesson... and maybe a biology one as well. There are five types of ponies in this world. Earth ponies, Unicorn ponies, Pegasus ponies, Crystal ponies, and Alicorn ponies." I began. "The first is Earth ponies." I gestured to Applejack, who tipped her hat. "Having no appendages like wings or a horn doesn't mean they are a liability. They are connected to the earth and are in tune with nature. Applejack here could buck you into next week."

Ludger froze, eyes darting over to look at the smug farmer. "So, they have more endurance and strength than a pegasus and a unicorn?" He asked, shuffling away from the orange mare.

I nodded. "Correct! Moving onto the next pony!" I exclaimed, gesturing to Rarity, who flipped her mane fabulously. "Unicorns can use their horns to create or control magic. However, they lack some strength and endurance. They can use their magic for multiple purposes or to solely do it for one." Rarity's profession is being a seamstress, mostly making clothing for the mares, but she will make clothes for stallions. She has a wonderful gem-finding spell that I find fascinating since she can find sapphires. My favorite."

"Mine too!" Spike piped in.

"That's amazing." Ludger was in awe.

"Thank you, darling. It's not easy when it comes to magic, but some of us don't really use magic to get our way." Rarity trotted forward. "Sometimes, flattery can go a long way.

I chuckled, moving forward again. "Moving on." I then gestured to Rainbow Dash as she soared above the girls. "Pegasi have the ability of flight, which is quite obvious."

"Naturally," Rainbow said, smugly.

"Not to mention, walking on clouds is such a wonderful feeling. The weather system is controlled by the pegasi, unlike the other worlds where it's natural and occurs whenever it feels like it. The only place that they can't control is within the Everfree Forest and the Crystal Empire. This brings me to my next topic. Crystal ponies!" I exclaimed. "Crystalize equines who were ruled once by a king named King Sombra." I informed, seeing Sora's ears flatten onto his skull. "Ponies that have a unique power that involves the light and hope within their heart, channeling that into a powerful relic called the Crystal Heart to protect the empire from the Frozen North." I explained, avoiding the topic of Sombra for Sora's sake.
