Part 4
Author's POV
It has been about a month and Shoyo was at the beach and decided to ask to join one of the beach volleyball games. He walked up to a guy who looked his age but about Nishinoya's height. (A/N Shoyo is 5"11 now) He had brown hair and soft eyes. He also had fair skin. "Hi! I'm Shoyo, and I was wondering if I could play with you guys?." Shoyo asks shyly. The others make eye contact and nod. The boy then replies with, "Sure. We don't mind. Also, my name's Ashford, but everyone calls me Ash." Shoyo then lit up with jittery excitement. "Really?! Thanks Ash!" Shoyo yells jumping up and down in excitement, causing Ash to blush profusely. "N-no problem. Anyways, what position do you play?" Ash asks curiously. "Which position do you want me to play?" Shoyo asks. Over the past month, Shoyo has  became proficient in all positions. "Uh- how about setter? And you're on my team." Ash replied, leaving no room for debate. It was two against two. Apparently  the other two just wanted someone to play with and don't know Ash. "Sure. No problem." Ash was surprised, to say the least. He couldn't wait to see how this goes.

They get into position after deciding the girls on the other side would go first. One of the girls served the ball, but before it hits the floor, Ash had dug it up. The ball came just a little short of Shoyo and Ash mentally yelled 'FUCK!' before running to spike. Shoyo got directly under the ball and served with pinpoint accuracy and momentum to Ash's hand to spike like it was child's play. They made the point. Ash was awestruck but quickly snapped out of it as the ball was their's to serve. They continued gaining points until winning.
After the game:
"WOAH THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!" Shoyo yelled in excitement while jumping up and down. "Yeah. You were really good out there, Shoyo." Ash replied to his enthusiasm. Shoyo paused for a second and then asked, "Really? You're not lying like my 'team' did are you?" Shoyo spat, with venom and a cold glare. "No! Why the hell would anyone lie to someone like you? I genuinely believe what I said." Ash replied hastily to get his point across without sounding like a liar. Shoyo's mood did a 180° and he started gleaming. 'So bright' Ash thought as he blushed. "Hey. I know we just met and all, but do you want to hang out at my house? It's  really big and my mom took my sister to work with her so it's kind of lonely. B-but it's totally fine if you don't want to!" Shoyo asked while worried about the answer. "Sure, I'd love to. I live alone too so I know what it's like." Ash replied with a soft smile that made Shoyo blush a little. "Woah! Really?! We should be friends so that we can be lonely together!" Shoyo said without remembering they just met. "You'd really let me?" Ash asked in shock. "Well, yeah. And my mom won't mind since I've finally found someone to talk to!" "R-really? Okay! Let's go then," Ash replied being excited for the first time in ages.

At Shoyo's when Ash finished looking around.
"Hey Ash,  do you smoke pot?" Shoyo asked as he pulls out a joint. "Y-yeah. Sometimes." He replied sheepishly while Shoyo took a hit off of it. "Cool. You want a hit?" Shoyo asked, handing the joint over. "Sure." And with that, the two got high off their asses. After they had just finished getting high, Shoyo's mom came through the door with Natsu. Shoyo's mom know's he does this so they both go downstairs to greet them, Shoyo unintentionally holding Ash's left hand while walking down. "Hey mom!" Hinata exclaimed as they both walked into the kitchen still holding hands. Let's just say, Ash's face was rivalling Tendou's hair. "Hey sweet- Shoyo, who's your boyfriend?" His mother asked making a suggestive face at Shoyo in an attempt to embarrass him, but instead, Ash got redder, if humanly possible, and Shoyo replied casually with, "Huh? Oh, right! Mom, this is Ash. He's probably going to be here a ton because he  lives alone and we were both lonely so we decided to be lonely together." He then pulled Ash in front of him, both still facing his mom, by the waist, putting his head ing the crook of Ash's neck. "Alright sweetie. But you have to move back to Japan in a month. So, Ash, I guess you'll just have to go with him!" Shoyo's mom squealed in excitement to see her son finally happy. "Oh. Cool. As long as we're together it'll be fine." Ash replied. Him and Shoyo are both excited for what's to come.
