➻ 3: trouble

──"eh? if you knew that I knew jisoo then why didn't you mention it?" minsoo asked, sweatdropping as she watched jisoo hug the heck out of joohyuk while he make no attempts to save his life, just accepting his fate as it is.

"well, the hand-drawn map you carried, it could only be the outcome of the jisoo's idiocy. I didn't tell you because I thought it would be fun when jisoo introduced us to each other again." he chuckled, immediately hissing as jisoo pulled on his ear.

"so you wanted me to make a fool out of myself by going── minsoo! meet my best friend joohyuk! and joohyuk meet the beauty next door, minsoo! and then you both would be gone like─ uh, sorry jisoo but we already know each other. and what would have I gotten out of it? embarrassment!" jisoo rambled on while wiping a fake tear and looking into a long distance, not bothering to spare a glance at joohyuk who was thrashing around, trying to get his ear out of her grip.

"jisoo, my dear, let go of my ear!" joohyuk rhymed, rubbing his ears as jisoo immediately let go of him.

she walked to the other side of the table to sit beside minsoo and hug her. minsoo just patted her head for returning the gesture. they were sitting in the hustling-bustling cafeteria to have lunch. sitting right beside the glass window which allowed them to see the tree in the ground outside.

"jisoo, stop being so clingy, it's making me lose my appetite."
joohyuk fake gagged, receiving a kick on the shin under the table, so powerful that the table shook. he was busy mourning in pain when jisoo turned to minsoo with a smile.

"there is an ice cream stall that opened up lately near our house, would you go out with me to have some?" jisoo asked while taking minsoo's hands in hers and looking at her with a pleading look.

"well, uh sure. we can take jungwon too! he likes ice creams!" minsoo suggested, trying to be the matchmaker for her brother.

"well, that's for sure! wherever minsoo goes, so does jungwon! it has always been like that!" jisoo piped.

"huh? what did y─" cutting minsoo off joohyuk groaned and slammed his fist on the table, trying to overcome the pain in his legs. "I'm tagging along!"

"no, you're barred from being around me for another two weeks." jisoo humped and crossed her arms.

"not everything in the world is about you, kim jisoo. I just wanna know who this jungwon guy is." he replied. jisoo balled up a fist and smacked him in the face.

"oh── he's my younger brother." minsoo clarified.

"oh then it's okay. by the way, minsoo how was your old school like? would you wanna share──" joohyuk got cut off by a sudden squeal coming from a girl who just hastily exited the cafeteria with her phone out followed by a bunch of girls and guys. "ah, there we go again."

"what's happening?"

"well, another fight on the campus. fifth since yesterday or even more? I stopped counting." he replied sipping on the soy milk he ordered.

"that's so mentally and physically draining! I wish the result to turn the opposite today or I'm throwing hands!" jisoo groaned. but joohyuk didn't care and leaned back into the chair and tried to doze off. "we'll have to inspect it joohyuk, come on minsoo!" jisoo announced, grabbing minsoo's arm and joohyuk's collar and dragging the two out of the cafeteria without hearing their protests.

they somehow managed to squeeze past the crowd to get to the front, truly speaking, only minsoo suffered since everyone gave way to jisoo and joohyuk for some reason. uh── pretty privilege?

the scene that was unfolding in front of them was horrific. there were two guys in the middle of the ring formed by the crowd, one with brunette hair and one with a blonde. the brunette guy was looking as if he just had his whole life flash before his eyes. his face was hardly recognizable with all those bruises, swelling, and bleeding cuts, his white shirt was all red with his blood and his whole body was shaky. on the contrary, the blonde guy was standing as good as new with a smug smirk on his face.
