..............................................................................

I woke up to the sound of Jack playing guitar in the corner of the room. I kept my eyes closed and my body still as I wanted no needed to let the melody take over me. The happiness that came from his soul into his music made the world fell like a better, more exciting version of what it normally is. For the moment everything in the world, revolved around the notes coming from his fingers plucking the strings. Then it just stopped, and the world became darker and dull place.

“Keep going” I moaned.

Jack moved in to where I was lying down on the bed. “You haven't seen me in days and I don't get a hello”

I opened my see to see him smiling down at me. I punched his shoulder, missed then winced. Why can' you get rid of the pain now?

I have to make you seem normal.

I sat up, while clenching my teeth.

“Whoa, watch yourself you’re not fully healed yet. Though I heard you’re cleared to leave when you’re ready.”

“If you've got my clothes then let’s hit the road”

Jack replied by pushing them into my lap, then walking towards the door. “Let me know when you’re done.” he said while closing the door.

…..............................................................................................

Sitting in my car with Jack driving, I watched the houses passing by. “Is my Dad still at home?”

“Nah he left as soon as soon as he found out you weren't going to die”

“Typical” I sighed “your staying over tonight, right?”

“Someone has to look after the wounded.”

I watched as the car pulled up into my drive. My house is detached and has a Gothic look to it, which is really cool, and the front it looks old and deserted. Jack jumped out of his side, rushed around the car and opened my door to offer me his shoulder to lean on.

“I'm fine” I said while pushing him away, then I stumbled, before walking towards my door. I Sensed Jack walking just behind me in case I fell.

As I reached the doorway I leaned down to pick up the key taped to the underside of the mat then unlocked the oak door. I walked straight to the sofa and threw myself across it. The walls were covered in posters of my favourite bands.

“Do you want a coke” Jack called from the kitchen.

“Yeah” I sat up from the coach “where's chaos?”

“In the garden, should I go get him?”

“I will” I started to stand up, and then I felt like there was something near me. My body was reacting to it the same way it had with that slimy creature. What's happening?

Need you ask a monster just got close enough for you to feel it.

I stood up completely.”Jack I think it would be better for you to let chaos in.”

“okay” came the reply from the kitchen, then the fridge door closed and the sounds of footsteps started to sound as he moved toward the back door.

You do know the monster is in that direction, right.

I stated to sprint towards the back door. I heard the key turn. Just before I got to the hallway the back door is in. Jack pushed the handle open. Knowing that he was about to let something terrible in I stopped and braced myself for whatever it was.

Get ready now.

The door opened. Standing there was a creature. Its eyes were fierce and yellow. With teeth that resembled iron with sharp pointed edges that looked like they could rip human bones apart like a play toy. Its fur was pitch black and resembled serpent in the way that they seemed to be moving with a will of their own. It left ear was torn and its nail were brass coloured and metallic looking. Overall it seemed like a huge black dog.

It lowered its muzzle to the ground, and focused on Jack. Then it pounced .
