“Watch out!” I panicked and started to run towards Jack, however Jack caught it between his arms and picked it up. While the beast started to lick his face.

“Chaos calm down” He said as he put him down on the floor while scratching its head.

Confusion overtook me and I became frozen in place, as this was not the Labrador Retriever with white spots I had gotten as a puppy,  abandoned in the street five years before. This was more of a monster than a dog. Why does Jack think that's my chaos?”

That is your dog, remember that you will see the world differently now. However to think that a human would be able to tame an Alu, it is just unimaginable.

Then that means that is my dog right?

It is the dog that you have always known.

The dog turned itself from Jack then gave a yelp of pure happiness before deciding to run towards me. Just as it reached me the dog seemed to kneel down before me, just like chaos always did, leaping towards me with another bark. When the dog jumped on me it felt like a truck had ploughed into me, then my body collapsed under his intense weight. Then why is he so heavy?

You thought that he would be lighter so he was lighter

“Chaos off James now” Jack was running towards me as I lied there on the floor struggling to move the dog’s mouth away from my face. I noticed how deadly those teeth looked up close, and was trying to avoid them. Before giving up and letting him lick my face all over.

What’s an Alu?

They used to go to the diseased and heal them, however they got a bad reputation because whenever people were dying they would show up.

So they are harmless right? Jack managed to move chaos off me and I started to sit up.

Hahaha harmless, you have to be joking. After humans pushed them aside I thought that they all had become killing machines. It looks like you've got the only friendly one I have seen in 3,000 years.

Chaos tilted his head to the side and started to whine with a sense of happiness at the sight of his master. As I pulled myself to my feet I leaned across and put my hand on his head “Be quiet boy”.

Jack went into the cupboard and pulled out chaos’s lead “do you want to take him out”

“Ok but you hold the lead” as I brushed myself down from chaos’s fur

This should be interesting, you haven’t seen an Alu work before.

We left the front door open for our return. I started to notice behaviours that he always shown such as playfully chasing a cat then letting it go. This continued on until we got to the last house on the street, old Mr Crowley’s house, it had been ageing steadily for years since he had started to go senile, chaos started to whine at the house like he had been doing for years but this time was different.

The lead snaps through the manic effort of chaos struggling to pull jack towards the house. I always wondered how he had managed to break leads this time it made sense as he seems to grow in size. He pushed his shoulder up against the door and started to glow with a darkness that was maddeningly sad, his fur became alive and every braid of his fur started to snap left, right and centre, his eyes glowed a golden yellow and his size increased until he looked like a monstrous bull. He looked like the stuff you could only her about in legends.

Jack was not concerned with how chaos looked. I looked at Jack in wonder of how he could not see such majestic terrifying elegance of the Alu. Jack ran towards chaos in ignorance and tried to pull the beastly dog back.

I weep as Humans cannot see what is around them, it is truly saddening.

I never knew the world was this magical. I started to move towards chaos and bellowed “heel boy”. Strangely chaos, for the first time, responded to my command instantly before coming to sit at my feet. Chaos started to follow me as I crossed the street.

“How comes he’s listening to you now?” jack asked as he ran towards me.

“Maybe he found something that he has in common with me” I said while running my hands through chaos’s snake like fur.

“Maybe it’s because you both lick your balls in your spare time.” Jack replied as a slight smirk came across his face.

“Shut up” I shouted across to Jack

You are not doing anything like that while I’m sharing your body. Wait until you go down to hell, then do as you wish.

. I lowered my eyes to the ground and flipped Jack off I do not do that!

While walking into the park chaos was running circles round us chasing butterflies. A man was jogging ahead around the path. A father and daughter were playing together on the grass. A couple were sitting down across the green from us. A weird man was standing amongst the bushes with binoculars watching the birds.

A shrill scream echoed through-out the park, I looked around and saw jack being overcome with anguish, then he became completely focused on something behind my back. I looked around and saw the little girl with tears streaming down her face. Then I turned back towards Jack, knowing exactly what he was going to want to do and moving myself in front of him. He started to walk as if he was in a trance towards the scene behind me, so I walked forward and embraced him.

“It’s not worth it Jack”. As he saw the girl start laughing again, as if nothing had happened. his body started to relax “you can't change the past and you can't help everyone.”

As Jack started to ease up his limbs fell limp and a tear forms at the corner of his eyes and trickles down his face. ”My sister was her age when it happened”

I stood there for what felt like an infinite amount of time before walking away to search for my dog.

“Chaos, come here boy.” The monstrous dog came bounding happily along unaware of the tragedy, that Jack had been repressing for so many years, that was coming to the surface.

Then I left the park with Chaos bounding by my side and the world darkening around me.
