You guessed it wrong, right?
____________________________If one knew what would happen next, one could prepare(as if that would help but). But then, what is life if not uncertainty.
"It's dangerous, step back!"
Captain Misha's voice came in the instant Takshika stood up. It was neither a suggestion, nor a plead. Her voice was clear, unlike her body that has been stroked with bullet burns and sharp scars as fresh as acacia in spring. She was determined, fierce and... scared?
Scared for her, huh, as if.
But Takshika was not.
"No."
The sharpness of her word cut shrill among all the firing and cries around. Her eyes blazed fire and her lips twitched up into a little devious smile of her own. Marked by numerous cuts through which red blood gushed out black, she stepped forward. After her target, after her doom.
Or his.
She knew it was now or never. They have planned for this moment since eternity(of blood and mourns). The dreadful memories were imprinted in her mind, engraved in her soul and none of it could repeat. To anyone.
"But he might-"
Bam!
A shot rushed from her left and Misha just ducked in time. Even in the darkness of the night and the loudness of the battle, her eyes glimmered at the little triumph, screaming how much she was going to make those punks regret it.
Rolling down on the ground in mud and blood or in bloody mud, she aimed all ready to fire at the human-like-clowns of the devilish human at the other side. The fence blocking them for no use.
Notwithstanding the words that were trailed off to devise some meaning, Takshika knew well what they meant. Their incompleteness said more than what was needed. Everybody far far knew it well.
As far as the ruinous human-creations have been dropped, those explosives shattering every foundation that lay there. As far as those bullets have reached and innocent blood had shattered.
But who knows, what blood is how much innocent?
Takshika smiled proudly at her senior/ companion who she was not very fond of, the reverse was just as true. "I guess you have better things to worry about" like those bastard son of terrorists. She smirked at her. When a team, they were very fond of each other.
And well, she will take care of the mouse they have after oh so many efforts and doomed lives have got out of the stinking pit. Knowing well, he was no mouse.
Rather a demon soul inhibited inside a human body, a ravenous bastard that belonged nowhere among their people, her people.
She stepped forward, her eyes fixed on the far shadow of the man holding his arm which was definitely bleeding. Hell, she was a good aimer.
Yet, she missed on it.
Intentionally.
Before Misha could protest anymore, as if it would be any useful, she huddled behind the nearest bush, it's leaves marked with splatters of blood. But in the night, it shone black. Leaving behind her team to make their plan successful and clear this small of a lovely place to be lovely again. As if they can ever forget all the damage they felt, all the turmoil that would haunt them to their last breaths.
