What do nightmares feel like? Nerve wrenching past or broken dreams. Or they are true delusions, more as deluded truths.

Maybe just some deep seated want.

Takshika snapped open her eyes in a paining force, like she was falling. She was sweating and her breath was ragged, she looked around in a hurry to realise that she just had a bad dream.

And that she was alone in the room.

It was still dark though lighter, suggesting early dawn. Calming her breath, she leaned her head on the wall, just beside the window she opened only now letting the  cold morning breeze filter the room.

She sighed at the disassembled figures she remembered from her dream or a constant nightmare. One, she has several nights. After the death of her father, in which she calls his name regularly only to find red. Blood.

It was strange cause she was not even there when it all happened. When he breathed his last. And yet, the dreams were so definite as if she had seen it all with her own eyes.

Her breath paced again and she rubbed her chest as she felt breathless with the pain tugging at her heart.

Why did I see that? She wondered, more worried at the unsuggestive difference in the pictures that played in her mind tonight. She knew she missed her father and so she had the nightmares but, something just did not fit right there, tonight.

The door opened making a creeking noise of old wood and Misha spoke, not an inch frowning at the silhouette that was sitting on the bed, she knew it was her, "why are you up so early?"

Takshika looked up instinctively up at the shadow that was lightening a little from the side that faced the door. Misha's voice brought her wondering thoughts to a centre, why did I see the cave? A red lit cave?

A peculiar feeling tucked her heart. As if she knew what it was or where?

Misha did not wait for an answer as she got to the bed and laid down on her side as Takshika brought her knees together. She covered herself with the quilt, her back facing Takshika when she said plainly, "I went to the washroom in case you wonder-"

     Takshika nodded.

Misha did not care about an answer yet again. "And close the window!"

Takshika did as she was told blocking the wind, still lost in the strangeness of the dream. She had seen the cave, if it was a cave, somewhere and it was lit red but where?

Misha turned, lying down on her back as she turned her head towards the face she could not make features of in the dark. "Did you have a nightmare again?" Even if her voice was simple as always showing no concern, worry marked her face and she was thankful it was dark enough. Why do I even worry about her? Aish!

Taking a deep breath, she sat up. No matter what, she did worry and she hated herself for that. It was the first time she talked about her nightmare though.
