"Bloody nose." I sent Kristine a text.

That's one of our emergency codes, you see. We have one for almost all of the emergencies that we run into like, 'Allergies' for when we got news to tell each other, mostly gossip and rumors. Then we have, 'Tears of joy' for when we have some pranks that we're planning on or when a prank is about to happen. We're always an audience, you know?

We also have 'Coffee' we use that when we need to talk or something like that... That's usually for serious purposes like when Kristine hears a rumor that I started and she needs to talk to me about it, to find out if I really did start the rumor; situations like that. Then we use, 'Black eye' when we need a back up, usually for fights, and when we have troubles with teachers... Now, 'Bloody Nose' is when we have problems with our parents or with our love lives, like crushes, hook ups, or boyfriends (not that we have one right now.) And lastly, we have 'Death Arrival' now, that's for like extreme emergencies. Like, car accidents, or when someone got in an accident and it's our fault, or maybe just hunger... We both hate being hungry, if that explains it more...

"Okay, you can tell me all about it over at the park." Kristine replied.

We have a small park over in our neighborhood... It's not that far from my house at all. Only like, 2 blocks and it's not even a block away from Kristine's house... It's much closer to her's.

I jogged along the sidewalk with the wind hitting my face and my bare arms while sending Kristine a text saying, "On my way... Meet you there."

I just really want to talk to someone and she's the only one that would probably understand me, because she's practically the only one that knows why I hate my mom, other than Dad and well... My mother. She knows I hate her, she knows that I don't pity her....

"Took you long enough!" Kristine said while I saw her sitting on a bench.

"Well, if I didn't run, it would have taken me even longer!" I hissed.

I took my seat next to her and calmed myself down before talking... As soon as I caught my breath, I began with my story.

"My mom called."

Kristine's eyes widened and her jaw opened up pretty wide.

"Yeah, I know. Shocking right?" I said with a chuckle and made a move to close her jaw. I didn't think she was going to close it anytime soon... She looked pretty shocked to me.

"Whoa!" She finally said.

I nodded and ran my hands down my face with a sigh...

I never expected this kind of things to happen... I was fine with just me and my dad. I didn't need a mother! I clearly lived years without one and I'm turning out fine! Well... I'm turning out okay, I guess.

"Did you talk to her?" Kristine asked getting me out of my thoughts.

"Kinda... Well, she talked to Dad first since he was the one who answered to phone... Then Dad handed me the phone not even telling me who it was on the other end so, I said hello..." I paused for a few seconds to recall what happened after that.

"Then she freaking greeted me a hi! She was all like, 'Hi, Trisha!'" I mimicked my mom's cheerful voice from earlier.

Kristine chuckled and put her hands on my thigh.

"Well, what did your dad do?"

I shrugged and told her how I dropped the phone and ran off to my room... I even told her how my dad said that I should give my mom another chance... Gladly, she took my side...

"How can you give someone another chance when she's been given hundreds before, but simply ignored it?!" Kristine hissed.

"I know right! That's why I needed to get out of there! I didn't want to fight with my dad..."

"Well dude, your gonna have to go home, me too actually... It's getting pretty dark and we have school tomorrow!"

"You have school tomorrow, I have counseling!"

We both chuckled and got up to give each other a hug...

"Thanks." I said softly as I got out from our mini hug.

"No prob." Kristine said back and we both said our goodbyes and headed on our diffrent directions...

I decided not to jogg anymore since I'm trying to use every time that I have without my dad... I still want to be alone. Kristine helped, yes. But I don't think it's enough. I want more people to be on my side! Because I'm right...

"Where are you?!" I read the text message that my dad sent me. I didn't reply him back though, I was getting close anyways...

It's getting really dark and I have to wake up early tomorrow! I'm sure my dad will drive me there, but I'll rather walk... Johnson's High School is a walking distance from here... I don't even why I didn't go to that school before. I heard it's a pretty nice school... Oh and don't even get me started with their volleyball team! They can beat Hershey's volleyball team anytime and anywhere! Which I'm a part of...

I play volleyball over at Hershey, I've been a player since middle school... Volleyball has always been my thing... It's my favorite sport actually. But you know, I've always been on edge, because of my grades.... Sometimes my grades aren't high enough for the passing grades that we need to have in order for us to still be part of the team so, our coach won't let me play until I get my grades up. So, sometimes I don't get a chance to play that's why I never really get to verse Johnson's High School... I just watch, which is really stressful! Every time they scored, I wanted to get over there and show my team how to do it! Seriously, it's like our practices doesn't help!

"Where have you been?!"

"Rihanna!" I answered.

My dad looked confused as he crossed his arms on his chest...

"What?! I though we were playing a game!" I said sarcastically.

"And what game would we be playing at 10pm?" He asked while checking his watch for the time.

I made my way to the stairs and stopped at the very first step, then turned to look at my dad.

"Well, if we were playing a 'who's the singer' game then I would have been correct, but if we are not then I'm going to sleep." I said every word so fast that I don't think I even understood myself!

I didn't wait for my dad's reply, I just walked straight up to my room and locked the doors. I don't want to bring up the topic that includes my mom again... I'm over that.

Now, I just have to rest and sleep so, I can wake up early tomorrow... Which I think has a slim chance on happening!

I changed into my shorts and plain white shirt and got ready for bed... My dad's voice played on and on, on my head as I closed my eyes...

"You should give her a chance."
