Sitting in the Great Hall was not a big deal. No one knew what Voldemort's daughter looked like, so I blended in with the other students. We all watched as first years were sorted into their houses and clapped when one of them would join our Slytherin table.

"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts," a man with grey hair says loudly. "I am Professor Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts. I hope you all have a fantastic year. Now, some of you might have already heard of the Triwizard Tournament. For those of you who don't know what it is, the Triwizard Tournament is a competition between the three largest European schools of wizardry, Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. One student from each of these schools will complete three tasks. On Halloween we will have the Championship selections. Now, please welcome Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and their headmistress, Madame Olympe Maxime." Girl students dressed in light blue run into the Great Hall. Everyone stares at them, and many boys elbow each other and smirk. "'And now Durmstrang and their headmaster, Professor Karkaroff." Male students dressed in brown enter. They do tricks with their walking sticks. Once they're done, Dumbledore continues, "Some of you won't be satisfied with this, but the heads of the participating schools have decided that no one under the age of 17 should be allowed to put forth their name for the tournament."

Immediately, students start shouting and cursing.

"Quiet down, quiet down. I know many of you are upset, but we are doing this because this tournament is dangerous. I have another thing to talk about. You all have probably heard the rumors about Sophia Riddle, "you know who's" daughter joining Hogwarts this year." People looked around the room and started whispering again. People stare at the Slytherin table, because they obviously suspected the daughter of Voldemort to be in Slytherin. I covered my face with my hair quickly so no one could see my cheeks become bed with embarrassment. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. "Ahem," Dumbledore continued. "You do not have any reason to fear her. She is a regular student, just like you all."

"A regular student? Yea right," I overhear someone say.

"I bet she's a spy for him," someone else says.

I looked at Pansy. I could tell she felt bad for me.

"Settle down! Lets put this all to the side. Let the feast begin!" Suddenly, different kinds of food appeared all over the table such as chicken, pork chops, french fries, steak, salad, corn, mashed potatoes, carrots, and many others. Students piled food onto their plates and started eating. I placed many foods on my plate and started eating. After a while of talking with Pansy, a brown haired boy asked us a question.

"Hey, Pansy. How was summer?" he asks.

"It was good," she says.

"And I'm guessing your new here?" the boy asks looking at me. "My name's Adrian Pucey. 6th year." He holds out his hand so I shake it.

"Nice to meet you. I'm also in 6th year. My name's...," I start. I looked at Pansy for help, but she just stared at me. "Umm...I'm Sophia," I said quietly so no one could hear.

"Sophia? As in Sophia Riddle?" Adrian asks. Adrian, however, said that a bit too loud and other students stare at us.

"Yea. I'm his daughter," I say, looking down at my plate.

"That's Sophia Riddle over there. The one sitting next to Pansy," I hear someone whisper.

"I promise I'm nothing like him. I hate my dad. I hate him. I don't support anything he does," I say trying not to make anyone scared. The word spreads throughout the Great Hall in about 1 minute, and everyone stares at me.

"Now that dinner is over, you may all go to you dorms. Good night!" Dumbledore says. Students get up from their seats and run towards the door. I get up and walk next to Pansy.

"That sucked. Everyone knows who I am now," I say, walking towards the Great Hall door. Students were still staring and whispering about me.

"Hey, don't worry about it. Everyone is shocked to see you. I mean you're Voldemort's daughter...," she says. "But if you give them time they'll warm up to you."

"Hopefully," I say. As we walk to the Slytherin dungeons, I realize I forgot my robe at dinner. "Oh shit, I left my robe in the Great Hall. I'll meet you in the Slytherin common room in like 15 minutes."

"But you don't know your way around school. Do you need me to come with you?" she asks.

"No, no. It's ok. I'll manage," I say. "K, bye now," I say, heading back to the Great Hall.

"Bye," she says, heading towards the dungeons.

I run to the Great Hall and grab my robe that's still on the seat. I run back out and head back towards the dungeons. Hogwarts is a huge school, and there were so many hallways and rooms, so it wasn't uncommon to get lost. And that's exactly what happened. I was lost and there were no students or teachers around me who I could ask for directions...not that they would help me anyway. I walk around for the next few minutes, but as the minutes passed by, I just got more lost.

"Need help?" someone says behind me. I turn around and face a Hufflepuff boy. "Oh...you're a Slytherin," he says when he looks at my robe.

"Is that a problem," I ask, walking closer to him. Suddenly, his face goes blank.

"Your not any Slytherin! You- your Sophia Riddle. You're his daughter."

"Yea, but I'm nothing like him so don't worry," I say calmly.

"And how am I supposed to believe you?" he asks. "I mean you were raised by him for years, so I'm not surprised if you picked up on his beliefs."

"Excuse me? You know nothing about me. I am nothing like my father," I clap back.

"Even if you were the nicest person in the world, your dad has killed so many people. People who I knew personally," he says, his voice becoming louder.

"I'm sorry, but I can't do anything about that. My dad and I are separate people and I would appreciate it if you saw me as my own person," I say, fidgeting with my bracelet.

"How am I or any other person supposed to see you as your own person when you're his daughter. You dad's the most evil person in the wizarding world." The boy steps closer. "I mean why are you even here? You don't belong here," he says.

"I've lived with my father my entire life, and I know that what he does is wrong. You don't know how I feel. I could probably talk crap about you, but I know nothing about you or your family," I say.

"It's Diggory. The name of my family. I'm Cedric Diggory."

"Well, Diggory, I'm going to bed. Do you mind pointing me in the direction of the Slytherin common room?" I ask.

Cedric sighs, but then says, "down the staircase at the end of the corridor." I didn't actually expect him to help me. "Look, I'm a nice person, but your family really pisses me off."

"Well, they also piss me off," I say. "Whatever, goodnight Diggory."

"Mhm," is all he says back. I turn towards the directions he gave me and start walking to the Slytherin dungeons.
