So Lucaya huh? My second or third fav ship from the show....I can mever decide between Lucaya and Riarkle I sweaaar....number one is yes! You guessed it! Rilaya....DuH 🥰
OK back to Lucaya....why do I ship them so much? Well first of all the amount of nicknames that Maya give Lucas is just funny af hahah and he also gave her a nickname. Their bickering and mocking each other like when Lucas wanted Maya to call him mad dog but she told him that he is like a lamb to her haha hilarious😂 They are also opposities in a way like Maya is more rebellious and Lucas is kinda like the moral compas of the group well he used to be a rebel back in Texas but no it has changed. The fact that Lucas and Riley are probably the only people that can contain Maya. And how Lucas said that he wants Maya to be happy im gm creatvity. And obvi the gm texas pt 2 episode the famous campfire scene aka Lucaya at it's peak! I mean it honestly doesn't really get better after that hah
My fav Lucas nickname?? Huckleberry for sure.
Also I swear that the writers were leaning into Lucaya in season 2 but they decided to not do it in season 3 idk why but okAyy xd
I just rlly like opposities ship and these two had natural chemistry since the first time they met in the subway :)
Also Maya was the one to stop Lucas from beating Billie up back in season 1.
Also Maya accepts Texas Lucas while Riley doesn't (don't get me wrong I am not one of those Lucaya shippers that hate Riley and Rucas but Lucaya is just more interesting as a relationship. I will talk about Rucas separately).
Also Lucas is a f boy ahha like he is and he stretched making his decision for way too long which wasn't fair to either of the girls but at least Lucaya isn't a creepy pedo ship like Joshaya and yes I will talk about Joshaya separately cause I have some words y'all....worst ship from the show I swear.
Ooh also the New Year's Eve scene on the rooftop when Lucas said that :that kinda fixes everything adorableee 😍 And Maya making fun of Lucas riding a sheep and his pappy joe hah
So ye I think I have mentioned enough reasons why I think these two should be a thing ( if Rilaya wouldn't be a thing , if Lucaya would happen then obvi Riarkle would too...yes I will talk a out Riarkle next xd).
