Hi

First off I'd like to apologize for not updating in so long. But I'm not gonna explain that because it's SUCH a doozy and frankly not worth anyone's time

Anywho, here's chapter 5! Hope you enjoy! :)

Also, it's pretty short, but I'll post the next chapter right after this!

When I finally wake up, it's a little after noon. I look around and see I'm the only one still in bed. I follow the noise coming from the kitchen and find Alice at my kitchen table, Elijah and Oliver standing at the counter, hip checking each other with small, sleep soft smiles.

"Ah, you're awake!" Alice exclaims, smiling and jumping up to hug me.

"Mornin'- or, uh, afternoon," I say, wrapping my arms around her. She pecks my cheek and takes my hand, guiding me towards the table.

"Afternoon, honey!" Oliver bounces, blowing a kiss my way. I grin, rolling my eyes fondly. Elijah places a plate in front of me.

"Was wondering when you were gonna wake up." Elijah says, coming around to kiss the side of my head.

I give him a quick thank you before digging in. Chocolate chip pancakes, drowned in syrup. My favorite.

"Do we have any plans?" I ask.

Oliver leans over the counter, arms outstretched. "Hmm.. not yet. We should do something though."

"Yeah. Let's get back early though. School tomorrow."

Elijah sighs. "Don't remind me."

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to wake up to them messing around in my kitchen everyday. Our kitchen. Elijah making breakfast, Oliver dancing around half asleep but still radiating sunshine, Alice at the table drinking tea. Seeing them first thing in the morning.

When I think about it, it feels right. So close, like it's real, like I'll see it again tomorrow and every day after that, like it'll mean everything I want it to.

Sometimes it feels like my ribs shrink. And suddenly there's not enough room for my heart and my lungs and-

I wouldn't go a day without it.
