" Oh, Yoongi... I thought you were someone else," the older lady said with a disappointed tone.
"I smell her..where is she?" the man asked. The old lady couldn't help but giggle and grab onto the man's arm.
"Jungkook! This is my son, Yoongi!" the older lady said and turned to Jungkook who was standing there awkwardly.
Jungkook looked around, trying not to meet the eyes of the man named Yoongi. Jungkook was never good with eye contact.
"I asked.. where is she?" Yoongi asked again. This time, glaring at his mother. She simply rolled her eyes and walked over to Jungkook.
"She will be here in time... right now, she's probably dealing with some random cheap horse that's worth nothing more than a silver coin." Yoongi's mother said. Jungkook still stood there, not knowing what to do. This random man, well not random as Yoongi was his grandma's son, walked into the door, demanding for someone that wasn't there, and glared at him and his grandma.
"Then I shall find her, and take her to my home," Yoongi stated with a harsh tone that made Jungkook flinch and slowly inch toward the older lady. Which, she didnt seem scared at all. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
" I think not, young man. I invited her, she comes here first. Plus, she should be here at any moment. Be patient for god's sake. You haven't stepped foot into this house since the day she stopped visiting and now you want to demand that she stays with you? I think not. NOW SIT!"
Jungkook was shocked, to say the least. Yoongi rolled his eyes and made his way to the couch that was in the small living room. He had pushed the books off the couch and laid there, waiting.
The old lady sighed and placed her hands on her hips as she watched Yoongi push all her books. Jungkook also watched but as soon as he caught himself staring, he looked away and toward his grandma for some instruction. The old lady grinned and made her way to the kitchen, picking up a large pan.
Jungkook followed, wanting to help.
"Yoongi dear, do you want some tea?" she asked. Yoongi shot up and glared once more.
"Of course not. I only drink Minji's tea. You always make it wrong. It makes me miss her more because of your terrible tea-making skills,"
"HUH!? I KNOW YOU DIDNT JUST SAY THAT YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT!" The old lady yelled and threw a wooden spoon at the man's head. He fell back with an "oof" and stayed laying down.
Jungkook stayed quiet as he picked up little tea bags that he and his grandma had made one weekend.
Jungkook watched as the pan was filled with water and put on the stove and the old lady left the room with a smile. Jungkook noticed the awkward silence in the room, he wanted to say something but what was there to say when Yoongi would probably attack him if he made the wrong move or said the wrong thing.
"Listen here, little elf boy..." Jungkook heard a rough voice and perked up. "Minji is mine. Don't get close to her. I plan to ask her to stay and marry me and I don't need some random boy my mother likes to mess up everything..."
Jungkook's eyebrows frowned on his face. Was Yoongi being serious? Jungkook didnt even know Minji. Yes, he was interested in her because it seemed to be the only thing his grandma would talk about, she seemed so nice. naturally, he would want to be her friend. maybe learn some magic from here too.
"Uh, sure..." Jungkook answered anyway. there was no point in arguing.
Suddenly, the old lady ran into the living room, running straight to the door, yelling,
"I SEE HER! I SEE HER! LET'S GO BOYS, TIME TO MEET MY BABYGIRLLL,'"
Yoongi shot up from the couch and ran after his mother, Jungkook also quickly followed behind, not wanting to miss what was happening.
She was pretty. Jungkook could see why Yoongi was so set on her. Jungkook instantly felt shy and his cheek heated up. He stood close to his grandma, looking down. He took a couple glances at her as she was coming forward but other than that, Jungkook didn't think would be able to handle it.
Jungkook thought she had pretty eyes… he liked her long curly hair… her tan skin… everything about her was pretty. She had confidence that Jungkook couldn't find in himself, and he only seen it through her walk.
As Minji approached, she smiled at them. Jungkook felt his heart flutter... so didn't yoongi. When she got close enough, she jumped off of her horse, surprisingly majestic, and ran over to, who was closest, her grandma.
Minji carefully jumped into the old lady's arms and shoved her head into her grandma's neck. Her grandma had always smelled like moss balls and a hint of mint for some reason but Minji couldn't help but love the familiar smell.
Minji felt her grandma starting to shake, knowing that she was crying, Minji hugged her tighter.
"My baby... how I missed you," the old lady whispered. Minji smiled and raised her head to look at her grandma. It seemed like she didnt age at all, looking the same as she remembered as a kid.
Jungkook smiled at the two, happy that his grandma was finally able to see the young women she's been wanting to see for so long. Jungkook looked at Yoongi, who was behind the rest of the others just a tad bit.
He looked like he was going to explode from all the shaking he was doing. Jungkook started to become worried that he would fall over at any giving point.
Minji made her way over to Yoongi after she was done hugging her grandma . instead of Minji jumping into his arms as she did with her grandma, it was Yoongi who jumped into her. He snatched her up and picked her up and spun her around till he heard his mother yell at him for being too reckless.
When Yoongi put Minji down, she patted his shoulder and held onto it for support. Yoongi could tell she was dizzy so he held onto her arm so she could steady herself. The two young adults stared a each other with admiration. No words needed to be said as it was clear what they were going to say in their eyes. She chuckled a bit as Minji broke the stare, turning to Jungkook, and giving him a dashing smile that made the little elf's heart flutter again.
"Hi, I'm pretty sure we've ever met, Im Minji," she introduced herself and stuck her hand out for him to shake, having a little trouble since Yoongi wouldn't let go as she did.
"Uh, yeah... Im Jungkook. It's nice to finally meet you... Grandma talks about you a lot," Jungkook shook her hand with his head to the ground. He was shy and meeting a beautiful girl like Minji was a little overwhelming.
"Is that so?" Minji giggled and looked over at her grandma. "Good things I hope..."
"Why would I ever say anything bad about you, my baby? Come now, let's get inside so we can talk," the old lady said and grabbed Minji's arm to drag her into the cottage. The boys followed the girls, heading towards the house.
Before they could even step a foot inside, the old lady poked her head out of the door and gave them a grin.
"Be dears and grab Minjis things for her. Oh and don't forget to put her horse up, I don't want her to lose that ugly little thing,"
Both boys sighed and looked over to the horse that Minji had brought. Jungkook took its reins and started to pull it closer to the house and to the back gate where he could tie it up. Yoongi followed closely behind him and the horse. Once Jungkook got the poor horse tied up, Yoongi and him started to go through the horse satchel to grab all the things that the girl packed and brought along with her.
