Chapter 2: Distracted

~~Izuku's POV~~

I ran down the street, almost bumping into a tired Kacchan.

"Morning Kacchan!" I stepped backward a bit to ensure that I didn't bump into him accidentally.

"Morning nerd." Kacchan had been a bit more laid back than last year, which made me happy of course, and he didn't scream as much! Its probably because his mom put him in therapy to deal with his anger issues.

I couldn't help smiling at the fact that he was nice to me more often. Well, not necessarily nice, but he tolerated me.

"Wipe that grin off your face. You look like a dummy." He chuckled. Oh don't get me wrong, I was still smiling like an idiot. I just toned it down a bit.

~~Time skip to when they get to school~~

~~Kirishima's POV~~

I was walking into class when I saw Midoriya talking with Uraraka, Iida, and Bakugo which surprised me. Bakugo was sitting on a desk and being scolded by Iida for not respecting the schools property. Izuku and Uraraka were laughing, and my face turned a subtle shade of red, not nearly as red as my hair though. Izuku's laugh made me feel comfortable... very comfortable.

I was going to go over there to talk with my best bro Bakugo, but I decided against it and walked over to Kaminari.

"Hey bro! Whatcha up to?" I walked over to Kaminari and started a random conversation.

Kaminari looked over at me and spoke, "Well, I was just talking to my dear friend Shinso here, but other than that, nothin much! What about you?" He smiled and turned a bit red. It was obvious that he liked the purple haired boy. Shinso was oblivious to everything though.

🎇✨❤Really quick before we continue the chapter, there in there second year. Shinso was moved to class 2A in place of Mineta for... obvious... reasons. Anyways! Lets continue.

Me, Denki, and Shinso talked for a bit, until they brought something up.

"Did you hear? Were gonna get room mates this year!" Denki jumped up and down like a child excited to eat a chocolate bar.

"Yeah, I heard that before we do any training Aizawa is going to announce who well be sharing a dorm with. Shinso's monotone voice echoed in his ears.

I stared at them for a moment, spacing out. I hope I share a room with someone I know, like maybe Bakubro, or Mina, or Sero, or maybe even Midoriya if im lucky!  I had gotten lost in my thoughts until I felt someone tap my shoulder.

"You good bro? Your a bit more spacey than usual." Kaminari look concerned, but I ignored his question.

"Wait, why do we need dorms?" I asked. I did feel more spacey today, I don't know why though, I just was. Then I thought back to Midoriya's laugh and snapped back to reality with a stupid smile on my face.

"Oh. There weren't as many 2A students last year as there are this year, so they didn't have enough dorms. I guess they weren't really thinking about the years ahead of them when they build the dorm buildings. I pretty sure its only temporary until they build more dorms." Shinso's voice had turned to a concerned tone. "You seem really spacey today. Why don't you go get some fresh air? ill tell Aizawa that you went to the bathroom." I smiled at them and walked outside, I didn't know why I was so distracted today. 

~~Izuku's POV~~

I saw Kirishima walk out the door. He was probably using the bathroom, so I took no mind. But as he turned the corner I noticed he was heading the opposite way of the bathroom, so I told my friends id be right back and decided to follow him.

When he stopped walking, we had been on the training field and he had sat down on the grassy dirt underneath him. "Hey uh, you okay Kirishima...?" I smiled awkwardly at the red headed boy.

He turned around. He looked like he was in a totally different universe.

"hm...? Oh...hey Izu- wait... Izuku? What are you doing here? Your gonna be late for class!"

I looked down and smiled slightly. "I know. But I feel that my friends well being is more important than class, right?" I looked up at him. His ruby red eyes were shining and I realized what I had just said. I hit my forehead with my palm as I thought.

DARNIT! You useless gay! Why cant you say something normal to other guys once and a while! Gah- so stupiddd!

"T-thanks..." I had stopped hitting my forehead by then to realize that he had stood up and was now in front of me.

"Are you alright? I mean uh, a-at first I thought you were going to the bathroom, but when I saw you turn in the other direction I had a feeling that something was wrong..." I had looked back up. He was smiling, which had revealed his shark like teeth.

"S-so you were... watching me?" He had a confused smile on his face.

"I- what? Nonono! I was just... quietly observing! Uh- yeah!" I had started rambling, and I put my hand on the back of my neck.

Kirishima just chuckled. "Hey hey hey! Relax! Its fine!" his beautiful eyes were mesmerizing, and I seemed to have spaced out while mumbling. And I was staring at him while doing it to. So embarrassing!  Snap out of it Deku!! 

I snapped out of it when I felt him shaking me. "Snap out of it Midobro!"

I came back to reality and we talked about things. Kirishima had told me that something was distracting him, and he didn't know what it was.

"Well, look inside yourself! What seems different? Maybe that's what's distracting you. If you can figure it out, then you can fix it!" I looked at him, we were now both sitting next to each other on the ground.

"Thanks. Ill figure it out." He smiled and stood up, offering me his hand. I accepted his hand and we both walked to class together.
