Anamika's POV:

As I went inside, I saw my dad was lying on bed lifeless and two women and three men where standing beside him with a grief on their faces. I jumped on the bed and took Dad's hand in mine. I asked him to wake up, but he didn't respond so I tapped on his shoulder, moved his body a bit still he wasn't replying. I was on the verge of crying when someone held my hands and took me away from the bed and my dad. That was like last time I saw him.

Somehow I escaped my hands from the grip of that person's hand and ran outside the room. I didn't want to stay anymore inside the mansion so I ran outside.  As I was running outside the mansion, I bumped into a boy. I looked at him with teary eyes and without saying even a single word started running again. After running for a while I saw a gigantic banyan tree near my mansion and hid under it so that no one could find me soon as I wanted to be alone for a while to digest all the things which were happening with me.

"He had to die, it was his faith." someone spoke, following with a loud laughter.

I heard that voice, which sounded familiar to me. Before I can check who it was, suddenly my vision got blurred, and I collapsed on the ground.

Suddenly I opened my eyes with a gasp and started looking at my surrounding. I was in a room which barely had any light. It panicked me and I started shouting as loud as I could. Suddenly a lady came with a glass of water and offered me. I took the glass and drank all the water fastly, which lead in spilling of water all over my dress and on the ground.

I had tears in my eyes. The lady consoled me and also tried calming me by saying it was a bad dream. After sometime I calmed down and recognised her. She was Mrs. Edith, Mr. Edith's wife. I realized I had a bad dream, but actually it was my dark past which I could never forget.

"Mrs. Edith, why I always get bad dreams about my past?" I asked, crying.

She sat on the bed beside me, while holding my shoulder with her hands and making me lean on her shoulder Mrs. Edith said, "Because you always think of your past that to about your dark past. You have to forget all the terrible memories or else it will always haunt you like this. So forget your past and start enjoying your present love."

Listening to this, "It wasn't coincidence." I yelled.

"what are you talking about?" Mrs. Edith inquired curiously.

"Death of dad, then Nanni. She did suicide, but how and why? She was a robust lady. I know it was a murder." I exclaimed, looking at Mrs. Edith.

"No Anamika, it wasn't. It's just coincidence, think little about it." She responded, looking away from me.

"How could it be a coincidence? Everyone said dad died because of poison but as per Nanni told me he didn't have any marks of snake bite or any other poisonous creature's bite. Then isn't that a common sense thing that he was poisoned, he was MURDERED." I exclaimed.

"I think you are thinking too much, Anamika. You should take some rest." Mrs. Edith replied while trying to hide something from me.

"Then what about Mr. Edith? Please don't say it was an accident. You know he was killed too." I added while looking in Mrs. Edith's eyes.

Mrs. Edith knew I was right, but something was stopping her again. She looked nervous, so she diverted her eyes from mine and said, "I have to go I have some work to do. You should take some rest. I'll be downstairs call me if you need anything." Saying this, Mrs. Edith got up from my bed and started leaving my room.

"Mrs. Edith, you know I'm not wrong, Mr. Edith, my dad, everyone I loved was killed. How can you sit silent?" I shouted and burst into tears.

I could feel nothing but the pain, so I curled my hands around my legs and sat there while looking outside the window. The chilly wind was flowing, making the trees outside my window move while making a sound. As I looked up in the sky, all I could see was the orangish-blue sky. The sun was setting while making the sky darker. All the birds were going back to their house, which made me think more about my house, the big Mansion where I used to stay.

That's when I remember the guy who was laughing outside our mansion on the day of my dad's death. I was trying hard to think who he was? As I could not see him. All this time I could not forget his words and the devilish laugh I heard. It still got me goosebumps when I thought about that day.

Suddenly I heard a voice from a vehicle's tyre stopping near our mansion. I thought to myself, who it might be at this hour? So to check I got out of my bed and went near my window and bend towards the window to check who it is!

I saw in total 4 people getting out of the car, two were old aged people while other two were boys nearly of my age. They were shifting in the mansion beside us. As I was looking suddenly one of the boy from them saw towards my window. I hid beside the curtain before he could see me, as I didn't want them to know about me yet.

Looking at them, it felt like they were a cute little family who just brought a new house and was ready to start a new life there, but I never knew that there decision of shifting here may cause them a lot of trouble.
